MCWG full form: what Motor Cycle With Gear means on your DL
The MCWG full form is Motor Cycle With Gear. It is the licence class, listed in section 10(2)(b) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, that lets you ride a two-wheeler with a clutch and a gear shifter in a public place. You need to be 18, pass a learner test and a riding test, and the class then appears on your driving licence.
Key takeaways
- MCWG stands for Motor Cycle With Gear, a class of its own under section 10(2)(b) of the MV Act.
- MCWOG is the separate gearless class for scooters and mopeds; it does not cover geared bikes.
- The minimum age for MCWG is 18. At 16 you may ride only a bike of up to 50cc.
- An LMV class is for cars and never lets you ride a motorcycle on its own.
- Central fees are Rs 150 per class for the learner licence and Rs 300 per class for the driving test, plus state charges.
- Many RTOs and insurers accept MCWG for gearless scooters, but the Act lists the two classes separately, so confirm locally.

MCWG full form: what do the four letters stand for?
The MCWG full form is Motor Cycle With Gear. The four letters are the code a licensing authority prints for the two-wheeler class that covers bikes with a manual gearbox. You will find it in the class of vehicle list on most Indian driving licences issued through the Sarathi system.

Letter by letter
M and C together mean motor cycle, W means with, and G means gear. The code is built from the words of the Act rather than from any brand or engine size, which is why it looks the same on licences from every state.
Why riders search for it
People usually meet the code for the first time when a new card arrives, when a dealer asks for a licence copy, or when an insurer checks a claim. Knowing that MCWG means a geared bike class settles most of those questions at once.
What is MCWG?
What is MCWG? It is one of the classes of vehicle a driving licence can authorise, the one for motorcycles fitted with gears. A licence holder with MCWG on the card has passed a riding test on a geared two-wheeler and may ride such a bike on public roads.
A class, not a licence type
MCWG is not a separate document. It is a line inside your single driving licence, next to any other classes you hold. One licence number can carry MCWG, MCWOG and LMV together, each added after its own test.
Who issues it
The Regional Transport Office of your area adds the class after you pass its test. The record is kept in the national Sarathi register, so the class is valid in every state.
Meaning of MCWG in plain words
The meaning of MCWG in everyday terms is simple: you are licensed to ride a bike that needs a clutch and a gear lever. If your two-wheeler makes you pull a lever with your left hand and shift with your left foot, this is the class the law expects you to hold.
The clutch test
A quick way to judge is the left-hand lever. On a scooter it is usually a rear brake. On a geared bike it is the clutch. A clutch means gears, and gears mean MCWG.
What it says about the rider
The class tells a traffic officer that you have shown control of a manual two-wheeler: moving off smoothly, changing gear, slowing down and stopping without stalling or losing balance.
MCWG means in driving license: what can you ride?
MCWG means in driving license that you may ride any motorcycle with gears in a public place, whatever its engine size, provided it is registered, insured and roadworthy. That includes small commuter bikes and large touring machines alike, because the Act sets no engine-size ceiling for this class.
Engine size does not change the class
A 100cc commuter and a 650cc cruiser need the same MCWG class. India has no separate licence for bigger bikes, unlike some countries that grade motorcycle licences by power.
What it does not cover
MCWG does not let you drive a car, an auto-rickshaw or a goods vehicle. Each of those needs its own class, such as LMV or a transport class, added after its own test.
MCWG in driving license: where does the code appear on the card?
MCWG in driving license cards appears in the class of vehicle block, often shortened to COV. Each class is printed as a code with the date on which it was added. On a smart card the block is usually on the front, though some states print it on the reverse.
Reading the date beside it
The date next to MCWG is the day the class was granted, not an expiry date. If you added a car class later, LMV will carry a newer date than MCWG.
Digital copies
The digital licence in DigiLocker or mParivahan shows the same class list. These copies are accepted as valid documents, so you can show the class on your phone at a check.
MCWG in driving licence: how is the class added later?
MCWG in driving licence records can be added at any time after your first licence. If you hold only LMV or MCWOG, you apply for a fresh learner licence for the MCWG class, pass the riding test, and the RTO adds the class under your existing licence number.
No new licence number
The new class joins your current record. Your licence number, photo and validity stay the same, and the new card shows MCWG with the date it was added.
Fees for an extra class
You pay the learner fee and the driving test fee for the new class, and a card fee if a new smart card is printed. Check the final amount on Sarathi before you pay.
MCWG full form in driving license: is it printed on the card?
The MCWG full form in driving license cards is normally not printed in full. Only the code appears, because the card has little space. The full description, motor cycle with gear, shows in the Sarathi record and in some states’ digital licence copies.
Older paper licences
Booklet licences from before smart cards may write the class by hand, by stamp, or with an older local abbreviation. If you cannot read it, the online record will show the standard name.
When the code is missing
If a geared bike class you passed is not printed, contact the issuing RTO. A printing error is corrected through a correction or duplicate request, not by a new test.
Full form of MCWG in driving licence under the Motor Vehicles Act
The full form of MCWG in driving licence terms comes straight from section 10(2)(b) of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, which lists “motor cycle with gear” as one class a licence may cover. Clause (a) above it lists “motor cycle without gear”, the class behind the MCWOG code.
Where the class list sits
Section 10 deals with the form and contents of licences. Its sub-section (2) names the classes in order: motor cycle without gear, motor cycle with gear, invalid carriage, light motor vehicle, transport vehicle, road-roller and motor vehicle of a specified description.
Why the order matters
The list treats the gearless and geared bike classes as two separate entries. That is the legal basis for asking riders to pass a test for the class they actually ride.
Motor cycle with gear means what under the law?
Motor cycle with gear means a two-wheeled motor vehicle with a gearbox the rider shifts. The Act defines a motor cycle in section 2(27) as a two-wheeled motor vehicle, including any detachable side-car with an extra wheel. Section 10 then splits motor cycles into geared and gearless classes.
The definition of motor cycle
Because the side-car is included in the definition, a bike with a detachable side-car is still a motor cycle for licensing. It does not become a three-wheeler class.
The gear part
The Act does not define “gear” in detail. In practice, RTOs treat a bike with a manual clutch and gear shifter as geared, and a scooter with an automatic transmission as gearless.
MCWG vehicle type: which bikes count as geared?
The MCWG vehicle type covers every two-wheeler with a manual gearbox: commuter motorcycles, sports bikes, cruisers, adventure and off-road bikes, and geared bikes fitted with a side-car. The shape of the bike does not matter; the gearbox does.

Semi-automatic bikes
Some small bikes have gears but no hand clutch. They still have a gearbox the rider shifts with the foot, so they are usually treated as geared. Confirm with your RTO if you plan to test on one.
Scooters with gears
Older Indian scooters often had a hand-shifted gearbox on the left grip. Those are geared two-wheelers, and an RTO may expect MCWG for them.
MCWG vehicle type: are electric motorcycles included?
Whether an electric bike falls under the MCWG vehicle type depends on its drive. Most electric two-wheelers sold in India have no gearbox, so they behave like gearless scooters. A few electric motorcycles do have gears. Any electric two-wheeler that must be registered also needs a licence class.
Low-powered electric scooters
Some low-speed electric scooters fall outside the registration rules and do not need a licence. The vehicle’s papers and the dealer’s documents state whether your model is one of them.
Asking before the test
If you will take the riding test on an electric bike, ask the RTO which class it will record. That avoids a card that shows only the gearless class when you meant to get MCWG.
MCWG vehicle: how do you know if your bike needs it?
To know whether your MCWG vehicle needs the geared class, look at the controls and the registration certificate. A clutch lever and gear shifter point to MCWG. The RC also names the vehicle class and maker’s description, which helps when the controls are unusual.
Checking the RC
The RC shows the make, model, body type and vehicle class. A geared motorcycle is usually recorded as a motor cycle, and the model name tells you which version you own.
When you are buying a bike
Check your licence class before you buy. A rider with only MCWOG who buys a geared bike cannot ride it home legally until MCWG is added.
MCWG vehicle full form: which models are common examples?
The MCWG vehicle full form, motor cycle with gear, covers almost every bike sold in India outside the scooter segment. The table groups common types so you can see which class line applies to the bike in your garage.
| Two-wheeler | Gearbox | Class to hold |
|---|---|---|
| 100 to 125cc commuter bike | Manual, foot-shifted | MCWG |
| Sports or naked bike | Manual with clutch | MCWG |
| Cruiser or touring bike | Manual with clutch | MCWG |
| Off-road or dual-sport bike | Manual with clutch | MCWG |
| Automatic scooter | None (CVT) | MCWOG, or MCWG where accepted |
| Moped up to 50cc | Usually none | MCWOG; age 16 allowed up to 50cc |
| Electric scooter | None | Ask your RTO; usually MCWOG |
How to use the table
Find the type closest to your bike and check its gearbox. Where the last column says “ask”, the RTO’s record is the final word.
Brand names do not matter
Two models from the same maker can need different classes. A brand’s scooter and its commuter bike are licensed differently.
Class of vehicle MCWG means what on the COV list?
Class of vehicle MCWG means the line on the COV list that authorises geared motorcycles. The COV list is the part of the licence that shows every class you have passed. Each line has a code, an issue date and, in some designs, the issuing authority.

Codes you may see beside it
MCWOG, LMV, LMV-NT and TRANS are the codes most often printed next to MCWG. Our LMV full form guide explains the car class in detail.
Several lines, one validity
All private classes share the non-transport validity printed elsewhere on the card. The COV dates only record when each class was added.
MCWG licence means what for a new rider?
For a beginner, an MCWG licence means freedom to ride a geared bike alone, without the learner’s L-plate or a licensed rider alongside. It is earned after a learner stage, practice and a riding test at the RTO, and it stays valid until the licence’s renewal date.
Before the full class
On a learner licence you may ride only under the learner conditions: L-plates displayed and, for most learners, a licensed rider with you. Carrying a passenger who is not that instructor is generally not allowed.
After the class is granted
You may ride solo, carry a pillion and travel anywhere in India. Keep the helmet, insurance, RC and pollution certificate rules in mind every time you ride.
MCWG license means what when you make an insurance claim?
An MCWG license means much to an insurer: it is the proof that the rider was allowed to ride a geared bike at the time of the accident. If the class on the licence does not match the vehicle, the insurer may dispute or reduce an own-damage claim.
Third-party cover
Third-party cover protects other people you injure. Even here, an insurer may seek to recover what it pays if the rider held no valid licence for the vehicle class.
Keep a copy ready
Upload or attach a clear licence copy showing the class list when you file a claim. A digital copy from DigiLocker is usually accepted.
MCWG in license: does it cover a bike with a sidecar?
Yes. MCWG in license terms covers a geared bike with a detachable side-car, because section 2(27) includes the side-car in the definition of a motor cycle. The extra wheel does not turn the bike into a three-wheeler for licensing.
Fixed three-wheelers are different
A vehicle built with three wheels, such as an auto-rickshaw, is not a motor cycle under this definition. It is licensed under LMV or a transport class depending on use.
Adapted vehicles
Vehicles adapted for riders with disabilities may fall under the invalid carriage class in section 10(2). Ask your RTO which class fits an adapted two-wheeler.
MCWG in license: what if the class is missing?
If MCWG in license records is missing, you are not licensed to ride a geared bike, even if you hold another class. Riding without the right class counts as driving without a licence for that vehicle under section 3, which carries a fine under section 181.
| Offence | Section | Central penalty |
|---|---|---|
| Driving without a licence for the vehicle | 181 | Up to Rs 5,000 |
| Riding without a helmet | 194D | Rs 1,000 and possible 3-month disqualification |
Fix it the right way
Apply for a learner licence for MCWG and pass the riding test. There is no shortcut that adds the class without a test.
Check the fine in your state
States may notify their own compounding amounts. See our traffic fines page for the wider list.
MCWG means in driving licence: does the class expire on its own?
No. MCWG means in driving licence records a class with an issue date only. The class expires when the licence’s non-transport validity ends and is renewed with it. Under the 2019 rules, a licence issued before 30 is valid until the holder turns 40.
Validity by age
From 30 to 50 a licence lasts 10 years, from 50 to 55 it lasts until the holder turns 60, and after 55 it lasts 5 years. The same date applies to MCWG and any other private class on the card.
Renewing late
Renewal can be applied for within one year before or after expiry. Riding after expiry is riding without a valid licence, so renew in time.
Can I drive scooty with MCWG license?
Can I drive scooty with MCWG license? In practice, most RTOs, traffic police and insurers accept an MCWG class for a gearless scooter, and many insurer guides say so. The Act, however, lists the gearless and geared classes separately and does not state that one includes the other.

Why the practice exists
A rider who can control a geared bike has shown more skill than a gearless ride needs. That is the reasoning RTOs and insurers commonly give for accepting MCWG on a scooter.
The safe choice
If you ride a scooter often, or your family scooter is insured in your name, add MCWOG when you apply for MCWG. It costs one extra class fee and removes any argument after an accident.
MCWG vs MCWOG: what is the difference?
The MCWG vs MCWOG difference is the gearbox. MCWG covers motorcycles with gears; MCWOG covers scooters, mopeds and other two-wheelers without gears. Each is a separate class under section 10(2), with its own learner licence and its own riding test.
| Feature | MCWG | MCWOG |
|---|---|---|
| Full form | Motor cycle with gear | Motor cycle without gear |
| Section | 10(2)(b) | 10(2)(a) |
| Typical vehicles | Commuter bikes, sports bikes, cruisers | Scooters, mopeds, most electric scooters |
| Controls | Clutch lever and gear shifter | Throttle and brakes only |
| Riding test | On a geared bike | On a gearless scooter |
| Covers the other class? | Often accepted for scooters | Never covers geared bikes |
Which to choose first
If you are likely to ride both, apply for both in one learner application. If you will only ever ride a scooter, MCWOG alone is enough.
Can MCWOG be upgraded?
Yes. Apply for a learner licence for MCWG later and pass the geared riding test. Both classes then sit on the same licence.
Motorcycle without gear license: who should choose it?
A motorcycle without gear license, the MCWOG class, suits riders who will only use scooters, mopeds or gearless electric two-wheelers. It is common among students, city commuters and anyone who never plans to ride a bike with a clutch.
First-time riders
A gearless scooter is easier to learn on, so some people take MCWOG first and add MCWG later when they buy a bike.
When it is not enough
The day you plan to ride a geared bike, even a friend’s for a short trip, you need MCWG. MCWOG gives no permission for a clutch-and-gear machine.
Motor cycle without gear non transport means what?
Motor cycle without gear non transport means a gearless two-wheeler used privately, not for hire or reward. On the licence it appears as MCWOG, and the non-transport validity date applies. Most scooter riders hold exactly this combination.
Non-transport in practice
Riding your own scooter to work, college or the market is non-transport use. Carrying paying passengers or goods for hire is not.
When use changes
If a gearless scooter is used for paid delivery or rides, state rules for commercial two-wheelers may apply. Check before you start such work.
Motorcycle without gear short form: how is MCWOG written?
The motorcycle without gear short form is MCWOG: M and C for motor cycle, WO for without, and G for gear. Some older cards and documents write it with slashes or spaces, such as MC WOG, but the meaning does not change.
Common misspellings
People often type MCWOD, MCWGO or MCW/OG when searching. All of these point to the same gearless class.
Hindi and regional cards
State cards may add the class in a regional language. For an explanation in Hindi, see our LMV MCWG full form in Hindi page.
With gear licence: what age do you need?
For a with gear licence, you must be at least 18. Section 4(1) of the Act bars anyone under 18 from driving a motor vehicle in a public place, with one exception: a person of 16 may ride a motorcycle whose engine does not exceed 50cc.

| Age | What you may ride |
|---|---|
| 16 | A motorcycle of up to 50cc only |
| 18 | Any geared motorcycle (MCWG) or gearless two-wheeler (MCWOG) |
| 20 | Any transport vehicle, under section 4(2) |
The 50cc exception
Very few new bikes in India are 50cc or less, so the exception mostly covers small mopeds. A 16-year-old cannot hold MCWG for an ordinary 100cc bike.
Applying before 18
You can prepare and study the road rules early, but Sarathi will only accept a learner application for MCWG once you meet the age limit.
MCWG in driving license for a 16 year old: is it allowed?
MCWG in driving license records for a 16-year-old is not possible for normal bikes. At 16 the law allows only a motorcycle with an engine of up to 50cc. Any geared bike above that size must wait until the rider turns 18.
What the parent should know
Handing an ordinary bike to an under-age rider means that rider has no valid licence for it. An accident in that situation can leave the family facing a fine, a disputed insurance claim and liability for any injury caused.
Planning the first licence
A 16-year-old may get a licence for a 50cc vehicle, then add MCWG at 18 by applying for a new learner licence for that class.
Motor cycle with gear non transport MCWG means what?
Motor cycle with gear non transport MCWG means a geared bike used privately, which is how most licences show the class. The card lists MCWG in the COV block, and the non-transport validity date, often marked NT, governs it.
Private use examples
Commuting, touring with friends, riding to college and family errands are all non-transport use. The bike carries a white number plate with black characters.
When the bike earns money
A bike used to carry paying passengers or goods for hire is a transport vehicle. That needs state permission and may need a transport endorsement.
Bike taxi on an MCWG licence: what changes?
Using a bike as a taxi changes what MCWG licence means in law, because a vehicle for hire is a transport vehicle. Section 3 allows a person to ride a motor cycle hired for his own use, but riding one for paying passengers falls under state transport rules.
State rules differ
Some states license bike taxis and others restrict them. The permit, number plate colour and any badge depend on your state’s policy.
Renting a bike for yourself
Renting a bike from an approved rental scheme to ride yourself is allowed with your own MCWG class, under the section 3 exception for vehicles hired for own use.
DL MCWG: how do you apply step by step?
To get a DL MCWG class, apply for a learner licence for MCWG on Sarathi, pass the learner test, practise with L-plates, then book and pass the riding test at the RTO. The card arrives with MCWG on the class list.
- Apply for a learner licence. Fill the learner application on Sarathi and select the MCWG class.
- Pass the learner test. Answer the road-rules and traffic-sign questions online or at the RTO.
- Practise on the road. Ride with L-plates and a licensed rider while the learner licence is valid.
- Book the riding test. Book a slot on Sarathi once 30 days have passed since the learner licence.
- Get the card. Pass the test, track the application and receive the licence with MCWG on it.

The learner test
Questions cover road signs, right of way and rules of the road. Practise with our learning license test questions before you sit it.
Timing
The learner licence is valid for six months. If you do not pass the riding test in that time, you must apply for a new learner licence.
DL MCWG documents: what does the RTO ask for?
For a DL MCWG application, the RTO usually asks for proof of age, proof of address, a photograph and signature, and your learner licence when you book the riding test. Some states also ask for a self-declaration of physical fitness.
Upload or carry
Most documents are uploaded on Sarathi during the application. Carry the originals to the RTO on test day, along with the learner licence.
The full document list
Accepted proofs vary slightly by state. See our guide to documents required for driving licence for the detailed list.
MCWG licence fees: what does each class cost?
The fees for an MCWG licence are set centrally in CMVR Rule 32, charged per class where stated. The table shows the central amounts; states may add online or service charges, so the payment screen on Sarathi shows your final total.
| Service | Central fee |
|---|---|
| Learner licence, each class | Rs 150 |
| Learner test or repeat test | Rs 50 |
| Driving test, each class | Rs 300 |
| Issue of driving licence | Rs 200 |
| Smart card | Rs 200 |

Two classes together
If you add MCWG and MCWOG together, the learner and test fees are charged for each class. The issue and card fees are paid once.
Repeat test
If you fail the riding test, you pay the test fee again for the repeat. Book the new slot on Sarathi.
LL LMV MCWG: can you apply for both learner classes together?
Yes. An LL LMV MCWG application lets you tick both classes on one learner form. You sit one learner test, then take two separate driving tests, one in a car and one on a geared bike, either on the same day or on different days.
One learner licence, two classes
The learner licence shows both classes, and you may practise on a car and a bike while it is valid, following the learner conditions for each.
Planning the tests
Book the two tests together if your RTO allows. If you fail one, the other class can still be added.
LMV MCWG: what does a combined licence allow?
An LMV MCWG licence lets you drive a private car and ride a geared motorcycle. It is one licence with one number and two classes in the COV list. It is the combination most Indian households expect a working adult to hold.
What it still does not cover
Without a transport endorsement where your state requires it, the combination does not cover heavy goods or passenger vehicles. Those need further classes.
One renewal for both
Both classes share the non-transport validity date, so a single renewal keeps your car and bike classes active.
LMV MCWG licence means what for car and bike owners?
An LMV MCWG licence means you can legally use both vehicles in a typical family: the car for long trips and the bike for daily errands. You can also drive a friend’s private car or ride their geared bike, as long as the vehicle’s papers are valid.
Showing it at a check
Officers look for both codes in the class list. A digital copy in DigiLocker shows them clearly if the card is worn.
Adding one later
If you hold only LMV, add MCWG through a new learner licence. If you hold only MCWG, add LMV in the same way.
MCWG full form in RTO: what happens at the riding test?
The MCWG full form in RTO files is motor cycle with gear, and the riding test checks that you can control such a bike. An examiner watches you start, move off, change gears, turn, slow down and stop safely, usually on a test track or a marked area.
What examiners look for
Balance at low speed, smooth clutch and gear use, correct indicators, use of mirrors, a helmet worn properly and control when stopping.
Bring a suitable bike
You usually bring your own geared bike with valid RC, insurance and pollution certificate. Ask your RTO about its test track rules in advance.
How do you check MCWG in license online?
To check MCWG in license records online, search your licence on Sarathi using the licence number and date of birth, or add it in DigiLocker or mParivahan. The class of vehicle list shows each class, including MCWG, with its issue date.
Using the Sarathi record
The record also shows validity dates and the issuing RTO. Our online licence check guide walks through the search.
If MCWG is missing online
If you passed the test but the class is not shown, contact the issuing RTO with your test receipt. The record may still be awaiting approval.
Helmet rules for MCWG riders: what does the law say?
Every rider holding a motor cycle with gear class must wear protective headgear meeting BIS standards in a public place under section 129. The rule covers the pillion too. Sikhs wearing a turban are exempt under the same section.

The fine
Riding without a helmet attracts Rs 1,000 under section 194D, and the licence can be disqualified for three months.
Choosing a helmet
Look for the ISI mark and a snug fit. A cracked or loose helmet gives little protection and may not satisfy an officer.
What mistakes do people make with the MCWG class?
Most mistakes with the MCWG class come from the learner form or from assumptions about other classes: ticking only MCWOG when you will ride a bike, assuming LMV covers two-wheelers, or failing to read a worn card. Each has a simple fix.

Ticking the wrong class
Check every class on the learner form before you pay. A missed class needs a fresh learner licence.
Relying on a worn card
If the class list has faded, check the Sarathi record and keep a digital copy on your phone.
Meaning of MCWG compared with other licence codes
The meaning of MCWG is easiest to remember next to the other common codes. MCWOG is for gearless two-wheelers, LMV for cars and light vans, and the transport class for commercial vehicles. Each code maps to a class in section 10(2).

Learner licence codes
A learner licence shows the same codes. Our LLR full form page explains the learner stage itself.

What is the MCWG full form?
MCWG stands for Motor Cycle With Gear. It is the licence class for two-wheelers with a manual gearbox.
What is the MCWOG full form?
MCWOG stands for Motor Cycle Without Gear. It covers scooters, mopeds and other gearless two-wheelers.
Can I drive scooty with MCWG license?
Many RTOs, police and insurers accept MCWG for a gearless scooter, but the Act lists the two classes separately. If you mainly ride a scooter, adding MCWOG removes any doubt.
Can I ride a geared bike on an MCWOG licence?
No. MCWOG covers only gearless two-wheelers. You need the MCWG class for any bike with a clutch and gears.
Does an LMV licence let me ride a motorcycle?
No. LMV is the car class. You need MCWG or MCWOG on the same licence to ride a two-wheeler.
What is the minimum age for an MCWG licence?
18 years. A person of 16 may ride only a motorcycle with an engine of up to 50cc.
How much does an MCWG licence cost?
Central fees are Rs 150 for the learner licence per class, Rs 50 for the learner test, Rs 300 for the driving test per class and Rs 200 for issue. States may add charges.
Can I add MCWG to my existing car licence?
Yes. Apply for a learner licence for MCWG, pass the riding test, and the class is added under your existing licence number.
Does the MCWG class have its own expiry date?
No. Private classes share the licence's non-transport validity, so one renewal keeps MCWG and LMV active together.
Is a separate licence needed for an electric motorcycle?
A registered electric two-wheeler needs a licence class. Most have no gearbox, so confirm with your RTO whether MCWG or MCWOG applies.
Where can I see whether my licence has MCWG?
The class of vehicle list on the card shows it. You can also search the licence on Sarathi or open it in DigiLocker or mParivahan.
Can I use my MCWG bike as a bike taxi?
Using a bike for hire makes it a transport vehicle. Bike-taxi permits and licence rules are set by each state, so check yours first.
