UP online vehicle challan: check status, pay, complain and cancel errors
A UP online vehicle challan is a traffic fine booked in Uttar Pradesh by police devices or cameras and stored on the national e-Challan system. Search it on echallan.parivahan.gov.in or mParivahan with your UP vehicle, challan or DL number. Pay pending challans online, raise a grievance on the same portal if the challan is wrong, and settle court-status challans with the court.
Key takeaways
- Uttar Pradesh uses the national e-Challan portal, so one plate search shows challans from Noida, Ghaziabad, Lucknow and every other district.
- Read the photo, place and plate before paying: paying a challan is normally treated as accepting the offence.
- A wrong challan is fixed through an e challan grievance with proof; a disputed offence is decided by a court.
- Driving without insurance carries Rs 2,000 for a first offence under section 196 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
- We could not verify any e-Challan toll-free number; use the contact details on the official portal only.
- Never pay through links in SMS or WhatsApp; type the .gov.in address yourself.

What is a UP online vehicle challan?
A UP online vehicle challan is the digital record of a traffic offence booked anywhere in Uttar Pradesh. It is created on a police handheld device or by a camera, linked to the registration number, and stored on the national e-Challan system so that the owner can search, pay or dispute it online.
Paper slips are now rare
Most UP challans no longer start as handwritten slips. The officer’s device sends the record straight to the central database, and an SMS reaches the mobile number linked to the vehicle.
What makes it “online”
Online here means the challan can be looked up and settled on a website or app. The offence itself still happens on the road, and the police or a court still decides what you owe.
How does an Uttar Pradesh challan get issued?
An Uttar Pradesh challan is issued in two main ways: an officer stops the vehicle and books the offence on a device, or a camera records the plate and the system generates a challan for the registered owner. Both routes end in the same national record.
Roadside booking
At a checkpoint the officer scans or types your registration and licence details, chooses the offence and section, and may take the amount on the spot for offences that can be compounded.
Camera booking
Red-light, speed and lane cameras in larger UP cities capture the plate. The challan goes to the owner, even when someone else was driving, so the owner must decide whether to pay or dispute it.
Who books an Uttar Pradesh traffic police challan?
An Uttar Pradesh traffic police challan is booked by the traffic wing of UP Police. In big cities that wing works under a police commissioner; elsewhere it works under the district police. The transport department’s enforcement officers can also book offences such as permit, tax or fitness violations.
UP Police Traffic Directorate
UP Police has a Traffic Directorate headed by an Additional Director General, separate from the UP 112 emergency unit. It sets traffic policy across districts.
Transport department enforcement
RTO and ARTO enforcement officers check documents on highways. Their challans also appear on the e-Challan portal, often under transport rather than police.
Uttar Pradesh challan in Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi
In commissionerate cities an Uttar Pradesh challan is booked by the city’s own traffic police under a police commissioner. Lucknow got its commissionerate in January 2020, Kanpur Nagar and Varanasi in March 2021, and Prayagraj and Agra in November 2022. The challan still lands on the same national system.
Why the city name matters
The issuing unit is printed on the challan. If you need to visit a traffic office in person, go to the unit that booked it, not the one nearest your home.
Smaller districts
Outside commissionerate cities, challans are booked by district traffic police under the Superintendent of Police. The search and payment steps are exactly the same.
How do you check a UP online vehicle challan?
To check a UP online vehicle challan, open echallan.parivahan.gov.in or the mParivahan app, choose a search type and enter your details. The portal may ask for the last digits of the chassis or engine number, or an OTP, before it shows the list.

- Open e-Challan. Go to echallan.parivahan.gov.in or open the mParivahan app.
- Choose a search. Pick vehicle number, challan number or DL number.
- Enter the UP details. Type the plate with UP and the district code, without spaces, and complete any chassis or OTP check.
- Read the status. See whether each challan is pending, paid, or sent to court or virtual court.
- Pay or dispute. Pay pending challans and save the receipt, or raise a grievance if the record is wrong.
Search options compared
| Search by | What you enter | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Vehicle number | UP plate, such as UP32AB1234 | Every challan on the vehicle |
| Challan number | ID from the SMS or slip | One specific challan |
| DL number | Your driving licence number | Challans booked against you as driver |
Typing a UP plate correctly
UP plates start with UP and a two-digit district code, for example UP32 for Lucknow or UP16 for Noida. Leave out spaces and hyphens. For the full list of codes, see our page on the Uttar Pradesh RTO offices.
What does an Uttar Pradesh traffic police challan show?
Each Uttar Pradesh traffic police challan on the portal shows the challan number, date, time, place, offence, Motor Vehicles Act section, amount and current status. Camera challans usually carry a photo, and roadside ones may show the officer’s unit.
Fields worth checking
Look at the plate in the photo, the time and the junction name. A time when your car was parked at home, or a plate that is not yours, is a reason to dispute rather than pay.
Saving a copy
Take a screenshot of the challan and the photo before you do anything else. If the challan later moves to court, that screenshot is your record of what was first shown.

How long does a UP challan take to reach you?
A UP challan created on a device usually appears online quickly, and a secondary guide says online challans are typically delivered within 3 days, with physical copies taking up to 15 days. If you were stopped and booked, search the portal after a day rather than waiting for the post.
When no SMS arrives
The SMS goes to the mobile number on the RC. If that number is old, you may never get alerts. Update it at the transport office or on Vahan so future challans reach you.
Checking before a trip
Run a plate search before long drives or before selling the vehicle. A forgotten camera challan is easier to clear early than at an RTO counter.
Can you use police pay online for a UP challan?
Yes. Police pay online for a UP challan means paying the compounding amount on the e-Challan portal or mParivahan while the challan is still with the police. Once the status changes to court or virtual court, the police payment option normally disappears and the court takes over.
Who can pay
Anyone with the challan number can pay it; the payer does not have to be the owner. Still, the owner should keep the receipt, because the challan is linked to the registration.
Paying several challans
The portal lets you tick more than one pending challan and pay them in a single transaction, with one receipt per challan.
Which payment methods work for police pay online?
The e-Challan portal accepts the usual online payment methods offered by its gateway, such as debit card, credit card, net banking and UPI where available. Roadside officers with challan devices can also collect the amount for compoundable offences.

After you pay
Download the receipt and note the transaction ID. Search the plate again after a day to confirm the status shows paid or disposed.
If money left your account but status is pending
Wait one or two working days. If it still shows pending, raise a grievance against the payment with the transaction ID and bank statement.
What is the Uttar Pradesh traffic police website?
The Uttar Pradesh traffic police website question has a two-part answer. UP Police’s official website is uppolice.gov.in, which covers general police services. Traffic challans themselves are searched and paid on the national e-Challan portal. When we checked, the address uptrafficpolice.gov.in did not resolve.
Use the national portal for challans
Do not look for a separate UP payment site. If a search result offers a “UP challan” page that is not on parivahan.gov.in, treat it with suspicion.
City traffic pages
Commissionerate cities sometimes post traffic advisories on social media. Those posts are useful for diversions, but payment should still go through the official portal.
Noida traffic police challan: how is it handled?
A Noida traffic police challan is booked by the traffic wing of the Gautam Buddh Nagar police commissionerate, formed in January 2020. Noida challans sit on the same UP vehicle record as the rest of the state, so you search and pay them on the national e-Challan portal.
Noida plates
Vehicles registered in Noida carry UP16 plates. Office details for registration work are on our RTO Noida page.
Expressway and border challans
Many Noida drivers cross into Delhi daily. A challan booked by Delhi Traffic Police on a UP16 car is a Delhi challan, settled under Delhi’s rules, not Noida’s.
Echallan Ghaziabad: where do you check and pay?
For an echallan Ghaziabad search, use the national e-Challan portal or mParivahan with the vehicle number. Ghaziabad became a police commissionerate in November 2022, and its traffic police book challans into the same statewide record used in Noida and Lucknow.

Ghaziabad plates
Ghaziabad vehicles use UP14. For registration and office information, see our RTO Ghaziabad guide.
Visiting a traffic office
If a Ghaziabad challan needs an in-person visit, take the challan printout, RC and licence. Confirm the office address from the commissionerate before you travel; we do not list one because we could not verify it.
What counts as a wrong challan?
A wrong challan is one where the record does not match what happened: a different vehicle in the photo, a cloned plate, an offence booked after you sold the vehicle, a duplicate entry, or a paid challan still showing pending. It is different from a challan you simply disagree with.
Errors versus disputes
An error is a factual mistake the department can correct. A dispute is a disagreement about whether the offence happened, which only a court can settle.
Why the difference matters
Errors go through a grievance. Disputes go to court. Sending a dispute as a grievance usually ends with the challan being upheld.
Why does a wrong challan happen in UP?
A wrong challan in Uttar Pradesh usually comes from a misread plate, a fake or cloned number plate, a sold vehicle whose RC transfer was never completed, or a technical duplicate. Camera systems read characters automatically, so similar letters and numbers can be confused.

Cloned plates
If someone is driving with a copy of your number, you will keep getting challans from places you never visited. File a police complaint about the cloned plate first, then attach it to every grievance.
Unfinished transfers
When a sale was never recorded at the RTO, the challan still goes to the old owner. Completing the transfer is the long-term fix.
How to challenge traffic challan in UP?
Here is how to challenge traffic challan records in UP: do not pay first, collect proof, raise a grievance on the e-Challan portal if it is an error, and contest it in court if you dispute the offence itself. Payment is usually treated as accepting that the offence happened.
Do not pay to make it go away
Paying a challan you think is wrong closes the matter on the record. Getting money back afterwards is difficult, and the offence may count as a previous one.
Choose the right route
A wrong plate or sold vehicle is a grievance. A claim that you did not jump the light is a court matter, where evidence such as dashcam footage helps.
How to challenge e challan online?
To learn how to challenge e challan records online, start with the grievance option on echallan.parivahan.gov.in. Enter the challan number, describe the problem in a few lines and upload proof. The department reviews it and either corrects the record or rejects the grievance.

Writing the grievance
Keep it short and factual: “Vehicle in the photo is a white car; my UP32 vehicle is a red bike. RC attached.” Avoid long complaints about the system.
If the grievance is rejected
A rejection does not stop you from going to court. When the challan reaches court status, you can choose to contest it there.
Challan complaint: which route should you use?
A challan complaint can go to three places: the e-Challan grievance option for record errors, the issuing traffic police unit for local problems, and a court for disputed offences. Pick the route that matches the problem, because the wrong channel only adds delay.
| Problem | Route | What to attach |
|---|---|---|
| Wrong vehicle or cloned plate | e-Challan grievance | RC, plate photo, police complaint |
| Paid but still pending | Grievance against payment | Receipt and bank statement |
| Sold before the offence | Grievance plus RTO transfer | Sale letter, Form 29/30 |
| Disagree with the offence | Court or virtual court | Dashcam video, witness |
Keep one record
Write every complaint number, date and reply in one place. If the matter goes to court, that trail shows you acted in good time.
How do you file an e challan complaint UP?
To file an e challan complaint UP drivers use the grievance feature on the national e-Challan portal, because UP challans live there. Open the grievance section, choose the challan, explain the error and upload your documents. Save the grievance ID shown at the end.
What the portal asks
Expect to enter the challan or vehicle number, a mobile number for OTP, a short description and attachments.
Timing
Raise the grievance soon after you see the challan. A challan that has already gone to court is outside what the police can correct.
Where do UP traffic police challan complaints go?
UP traffic police challan complaints go first to the e-Challan grievance desk, which routes them to the unit that booked the challan. For problems the portal cannot fix, such as a misbehaving officer, the issuing unit or UP Police’s public grievance channels are the right place.
Complaints about conduct
A complaint about how an officer behaved is separate from the challan. File it with the police unit, and still deal with the challan itself through the portal or court.
Emergency on the road
For an accident, threat or emergency, call 112, India’s single emergency number. Do not use challan helpdesks for urgent help.
Complaint against wrong traffic challan: what proof works?
A complaint against wrong traffic challan succeeds on documents, not on explanations. The strongest proof is a clear photo of your real plate next to the challan photo, your RC, your licence and, for a sold vehicle, the sale papers showing the date the vehicle left your hands.

Proof for a sold vehicle
Attach the sale letter, delivery note and transfer forms. The date on these papers must be before the offence date on the challan.
Proof for a cloned plate
Attach the police complaint about the cloned plate and a photo showing your vehicle’s model and colour, which usually differ from the one in the camera image.
Wrong challan complaint step by step
A wrong challan complaint works best when it follows a fixed order: check, collect, file, track and escalate. Skipping the first step is the most common mistake, because some “wrong” challans turn out to be on another vehicle you once owned.
Step one to three
Check the challan details and photo. Collect RC, licence and proof. File the grievance on the e-Challan portal with the challan number.
Step four and five
Track the grievance ID until it is closed. If it is rejected and you still disagree, wait for court status and contest it there.
How does an e challan grievance work?
An e challan grievance is a request to the issuing department to review a challan record. You submit it on the portal; the department checks the evidence and either corrects, cancels or upholds the challan. It is an administrative review, not a court hearing.
Who reviews it
The unit that booked the challan, such as a city traffic police wing or a transport enforcement office, reviews the grievance.
What it can and cannot do
A grievance can fix a misread plate or a duplicate. It cannot decide whether you really crossed on red when the photo clearly shows your vehicle.
Online challan complaint: how do you track it?
An online challan complaint gets a grievance ID when you submit it. Use that ID on the e-Challan portal to see the status, which usually moves from submitted to under review and then to resolved or rejected. Note the reply text when it closes.
When nothing moves
If the status stays unchanged for weeks, write to the helpdesk with the grievance ID, challan number and vehicle number in the subject line.
Keeping the challan from escalating
A pending grievance may not stop the challan from moving to court. Search the plate regularly so you know if the status changes.
Traffic challan complaint for a sold or cloned vehicle
A traffic challan complaint about a sold or cloned vehicle needs one extra step beyond the grievance: fixing the root cause. For a sold vehicle, finish the RC transfer. For a cloned plate, register a police complaint so later challans can be closed quickly.
Selling without transfer
Until the RTO records the new owner, challans follow the old one. Ask the buyer for proof that Form 29 and Form 30 were filed.
Repeat challans from a clone
Each new challan from a clone needs its own grievance. Attach the same police complaint copy every time.
What is the e challan complaint number?
People searching for an e challan complaint number usually want a phone line for challan problems. The e-Challan portal lists its own helpdesk contact details; we could not reach the portal from our checking machine to confirm a number, so we do not print one here.
Where to find it safely
Open echallan.parivahan.gov.in by typing the address, then look for the contact or helpdesk link. Use only what is printed there.
Numbers to avoid
Numbers in search snippets, map listings or social media replies are often wrong or fraudulent. Never share an OTP with a caller who claims to cancel a challan.
Is there an e challan toll free number?
We could not verify any e challan toll free number as of October 2026. Some websites quote numbers, but none could be matched to the official portal during our check. Use the contact details on echallan.parivahan.gov.in and treat any other “toll-free challan line” with caution.
Why we do not list one
A wrong helpline in this field sends people straight to scammers. We list a number only when an official source shows it.
What to use instead
The portal’s grievance form and helpdesk email give you a written record, which is more useful than a phone call if the matter goes to court.
Email helpdesk echallan at gov dot in: how to write it?
The search email helpdesk echallan at gov dot in refers to the e-Challan helpdesk address, usually written [email protected]. The “at” and “dot” spelling is how government sites hide addresses from spam robots. We could not confirm it on the official contact page, so check the portal first.
Writing it correctly
Replace “at” with @ and “dot” with a full stop, and keep the hyphen. Do not add “www” or “http”.
Helpdesk e challan at gov dot in variants
The variant helpdesk e challan at gov dot in points to the same helpdesk. If an email bounces, return to the portal’s contact page for the current address.
What should a mail to helpdesk echallan gov in include?
A mail to helpdesk echallan gov in should carry the challan number, vehicle number, state (Uttar Pradesh), a two-line description and your attachments. Put the challan number in the subject so it can be matched quickly. Keep the grievance ID in the mail if you already filed one.
A simple format
Subject: Challan number, UP vehicle number, wrong vehicle. Body: what is wrong, what proof is attached, and what you are asking for.
What not to send
Do not send card details, OTPs or full bank statements. A masked statement showing the transaction ID is enough.
Can challan be cancelled?
Can challan be cancelled? Yes, but only when the challan is an error: a wrong vehicle, cloned plate, duplicate entry or an offence booked after a recorded sale. A genuine offence cannot be cancelled on request; it can only be paid, or contested before a court that may reduce or waive the fine.

Who can cancel it
The issuing department can cancel an erroneous challan after a grievance. A court can dispose of a court challan in your favour.
Offers to cancel for a fee
Nobody can legally cancel a valid challan for a “service charge”. Such offers are a common fraud.
How to cancel echallan?
To understand how to cancel echallan records that are wrong, think of it as getting the department to withdraw them. File a grievance with proof on the e-Challan portal, wait for the review, and check that the status changes. There is no button to cancel a challan yourself.
Signs it worked
The challan disappears from the pending list or shows a closed or disposed status without payment. Save a screenshot.
If it reappears
Sometimes a corrected challan is reissued to the right vehicle. If one returns to your plate, reply to the same grievance with the earlier decision attached.
What happens when a UP challan goes to court?
When a UP challan is not paid or is disputed, it can be sent to a court. If it is listed in a virtual court, you can see it on vcourts.gov.in and pay or choose to contest. Other cases, especially serious ones, go to the court named in the summons.
Virtual court
Look for your state’s traffic department on vcourts.gov.in. Our guide to court challan online payment explains the screens.
Physical court
Offences such as drunk driving are decided by a magistrate, who fixes the fine or other penalty. Carry the challan, RC and licence.
Can an Uttar Pradesh challan be settled at a Lok Adalat?
Older court challans are sometimes listed at a National Lok Adalat, where an Uttar Pradesh challan can be settled with the court’s agreement. Dates and eligible challans are announced by the legal services authority, not by phone callers. See our guide to the Lok Adalat challan process.
What to expect
The bench decides the amount at the sitting. A Lok Adalat award is final.
Avoiding fake offers
Messages promising a fixed discount for a fee are not Lok Adalat notices. Confirm the sitting date with the district court.
Insurance challan in UP: what is the fine?
An insurance challan in UP is booked under section 196 of the Motor Vehicles Act for driving a vehicle without valid third-party insurance. The central Act sets Rs 2,000 and/or up to 3 months in jail for a first offence, and Rs 4,000 for a second. The amount on your own challan is what you owe.
| Offence | Section | Central penalty |
|---|---|---|
| No insurance | 196 | Rs 2,000 and/or 3 months; Rs 4,000 second |
| No helmet | 194D | Rs 1,000 and 3 months licence disqualification |
| Driving without licence | 181 | Up to Rs 5,000 |
| Unregistered vehicle | 192 | Rs 5,000 |
| General offence | 177 | Rs 500; Rs 1,500 second |
Expired is the same as none
A policy that lapsed yesterday counts as no insurance today. Renew before the end date, not after a challan.

Our page on the fine for driving without insurance covers the legal side and what happens after an accident.

Bike insurance challan in UP: what riders should know
A bike insurance challan in UP carries the same section 196 penalty as a car, because the Act does not set a lower amount for two-wheelers. Cameras and checkpoints can cross-check insurance against the vehicle record, so a lapsed policy can be caught without a roadside stop.
Check your policy status
Before you ride, confirm the policy is active. Our bike insurance check guide shows how to look it up by vehicle number.
Carry proof
A digital copy in DigiLocker or mParivahan is accepted as proof in most checks. Keep the policy number handy.
Bike pollution challan in UP: what is checked?
A bike pollution challan in UP is about the Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate and visible smoke or noise. Officers check whether a valid PUC exists for the vehicle; cameras at some fuel stations and checkpoints can also flag a missing certificate on the record.
The fine
The amount depends on the section and any state compounding notification, so read your challan. Our page on the bike pollution fine explains the sections.
Avoiding it
Get a PUC test at an authorised centre before the old one expires, and make sure it is uploaded to the vehicle record.
Which fines apply to an Uttar Pradesh challan?
An Uttar Pradesh challan uses the central Motor Vehicles Act 2019 penalties unless the state has notified a different compounding amount. Autocar India’s review found no different UP notification. Offences that go to court, such as drunk driving, are decided by a magistrate.
| Offence | Section | Central penalty |
|---|---|---|
| Over-speeding (LMV) | 183 | Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 |
| Dangerous driving | 184 | Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000, first offence |
| Drunk driving | 185 | Up to Rs 10,000 and/or 6 months, first |
| No seatbelt | 194B | Rs 1,000 |
| Triple riding | 194C | Rs 1,000 and licence disqualification |
| Not giving way to ambulance | 194E | Rs 10,000 |
| Racing on a public road | 189 | Rs 5,000 |
| Juvenile driving | 199A | Rs 25,000 and guardian liability |
Try the calculator
The calculator below shows central penalties. States may notify different compounding amounts, so the figure on your challan wins.

For every section and the second-offence amounts, see our guide to traffic fines.
What happens if a UP online vehicle challan is not paid?
An unpaid UP online vehicle challan does not go away. A secondary guide gives a 60-day payment window from issue, after which challans can move to court. The challan also stays on the vehicle record, where it can hold up transport office work.
Reported 2026 rule changes
Autocar India’s UP page says a challan not answered within 45 days is treated as accepted, and that five or more challans in a year lead to licence suspension. Its national page says no demerit system is in force, so confirm on the portal before relying on either rule.
Court summons
If the challan reaches court, a summons may follow. Ignoring it lets the court proceed without you.
Does a UP challan block RTO work?
A pending UP challan can block RTO work. Transport offices may ask you to clear challans before transferring ownership, issuing an NOC or doing other vehicle services. Clearing them first saves a wasted trip to the office.
Before you sell
Run a plate search and clear or dispute every pending challan. A clean record makes the buyer’s transfer easier.
Before you buy
Ask the seller for a fresh challan search. Challans follow the registration, so check before money changes hands.
Challans from Maharashtra on a UP-registered vehicle
If your UP vehicle is fined in Maharashtra, search the national e-Challan portal first. Vehicle challan Maharashtra records also appear on mahatrafficechallan.gov.in, the state portal, which lists helpline 844 844 8960 and a grievance page with options against a challan or a receipt.
Which rules apply
The challan follows Maharashtra’s compounding amounts and courts, not UP’s. A secondary guide gives a 60-day payment window for Maharashtra challans too.
Mumbai challans
Mumbai has its own traffic police system. Our Mumbai traffic guide covers how Mumbai challans work.
How do you spot a fake UP online vehicle challan message?
A fake UP online vehicle challan message usually carries a short link, an APK file or a payment request to a personal UPI ID. Genuine challans can always be found by typing echallan.parivahan.gov.in yourself and entering the challan number. If the number is not there, the message is fake.

Warning signs
Urgent threats of arrest, spelling mistakes, links that do not end in .gov.in, and requests to install an app are all signs of fraud.
If you paid a fake link
Call 1930, the national cyber crime helpline, report it on cybercrime.gov.in and ask your bank to block the transaction.
For how e-challans work across every state, see our full e challan guide.

Is checking a UP online vehicle challan free?
Yes. A search on the e-Challan portal or mParivahan costs nothing. You only pay the challan amount if you accept it.
Does Uttar Pradesh have its own challan website?
Challans booked in UP are handled on the national e-Challan portal, echallan.parivahan.gov.in. UP Police runs uppolice.gov.in for general police services.
Can I check a Noida or Ghaziabad challan on the same portal?
Yes. Both cities feed the same UP vehicle record on the national system, so a plate search shows challans from either city.
How do I complain about a wrong challan in UP?
Raise a grievance on the e-Challan portal with the challan number, vehicle number, RC, licence and proof such as a photo of your real plate. Keep the grievance ID.
Can a challan be cancelled after I pay it?
Rarely. Payment is usually treated as accepting the offence. If you paid a challan booked to the wrong vehicle, raise a grievance with the receipt and ask the authority what relief is possible.
What is the e-Challan helpdesk email?
People search for it as helpdesk echallan at gov dot in, usually written [email protected]. We could not confirm it from the official contact page, so check the portal before you write.
Is there an e-Challan toll-free number?
We could not verify one. Use only the numbers printed on echallan.parivahan.gov.in, and ignore numbers posted in search listings or social media comments.
What is the fine for no insurance in UP?
Section 196 of the Motor Vehicles Act sets Rs 2,000 and/or up to 3 months in jail for a first offence and Rs 4,000 for a second one.
Will an unpaid UP challan stop my RC transfer?
It can. Pending challans sit on the vehicle record, and transport offices may ask you to clear them before transfer, NOC or other work.
Can a UP challan be paid after it goes to court?
Yes, but to the court, not the police. If it is listed in a virtual court you may pay there; otherwise follow the court named in the summons.
My vehicle was fined in Maharashtra. Where do I check it?
Search the national e-Challan portal first. Maharashtra also runs mahatrafficechallan.gov.in, which lists its helpline 844 844 8960 and a grievance page.
What should I do if I paid a fake challan link?
Call 1930 at once, report it on cybercrime.gov.in and inform your bank to block the card or UPI transaction.
Parivahan Sewa (parivahansewa-in.com) is an independent information website and is not affiliated with MoRTH, Parivahan or any state transport department. Confirm fees and rules on the official portal before you pay or apply.
