Message format if you try it

Type VAHAN, a space, then the plate without spaces, such as VAHAN RJ27CB4321. If no reply arrives in a few minutes, the service is likely off.

Why the reply may be empty

Secondary guides say SMS replies work best for vehicles registered after about 2006. Older RJ records may return nothing even when the vehicle is genuine.

How do you read an RJ plate before searching?

A Rajasthan plate has four parts: RJ for the state, a two-digit office code, up to three series letters, and a number from 1 to 9999. RJ 19 SG 2045, for example, is a Jodhpur registration. Reading it correctly avoids most “record not found” results.
