KA51 RTO: the Electronic City office and every Bengaluru code around it

By , Editor and reviewer · Updated · 24 min read · Independent guide, not a government website

In short

KA51 RTO is the Electronic City office that registers vehicles for Bengaluru's southern suburbs, such as Bommanahalli, Begur, Singasandra and Electronic City itself. Wikipedia lists it at 5th Main Road, BTM Layout 4th Stage, Bengaluru 560076, though directories differ. Anekal taluk now goes to KA 59 Chandapura, and central Bengaluru goes to KA 01 at HSR Layout.

Key takeaways

  • KA 51 is the code of the Electronic City RTO, which serves the southern suburbs of Bengaluru Urban district.
  • The listed address is in BTM Layout 4th Stage (PIN 560076), not in Electronic City, and directories disagree, so confirm before you go.
  • Bengaluru has about ten codes: KA 01 to KA 05, KA 41, KA 50, KA 51, KA 53 and KA 59, plus KA 57 for buses.
  • HSRP is still mandatory in Karnataka for vehicles registered before 1 April 2019, but fines were paused in 2026 because of a High Court case.
  • Book HSRP only through the SIAM Book HSRP link and your vehicle maker's portal; plates are fitted at a dealer.
  • Office details here come from secondary lists, so check the Karnataka Transport Department or Parivahan before travelling.

What is the KA51 RTO?

The KA51 RTO is the Regional Transport Office that Karnataka assigned to Bengaluru’s southern suburbs, and it carries the name Electronic City. Every vehicle first registered there carries KA 51 on its plate. The office handles registration, licences and permits for owners whose address falls inside its area.

The office is named after Electronic City, yet the listed address sits in BTM 4th Stage.

Where the code comes from

Bengaluru’s first five offices carry KA 01 to KA 05, and KA 51 is a later, higher number. It is one of several suburban codes, alongside KA 41, KA 50, KA 53 and KA 59, that share the load of Bengaluru Urban district.

Where is the KA 51 office located?

Wikipedia lists the Electronic City office at 5th Main Road, BTM Layout 4th Stage, Bengaluru 560076. That surprises many people, because the name suggests a building inside Electronic City. Directories agree on the PIN but word the street differently, so treat the address as a guide.

Conflicting directory addresses

One insurer page gives Vijaya Bank Layout, Devarachikkanahalli, near BTM 4th Stage; another places it in Electronic City Phase 1 with a 560100 PIN.

How to confirm before you travel

Check the office list on the Karnataka Transport Department website, or start any application on Vahan with your registration number: the portal shows the registering authority. Ring the number printed on your appointment slip if there is one. Our separate page on the Electronic City KA 51 RTO office in Arakere tracks visit details.

Listed hours and email

Directories list 10 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Saturday, with Sundays, second and fourth Saturdays and state holidays off. The email shown is [email protected]. Neither has been confirmed on the state site, so use them as a starting point only.

Which areas come under KA51?

Wikipedia describes the KA 51 area simply as Bengaluru’s southern suburbs within Bengaluru Urban district. Guide sites fill in the detail: Electronic City, Doddathogur, Singasandra, Bettadasanapura, Bommanahalli, Begur, Arakere and the stretch of Bannerghatta Road beyond Meenakshi Temple.

Table of southern Bengaluru localities and whether they fall under KA 51 or KA 59
Edge areas move between offices, so the address on your RC settles the answer.

Hosur Road corridor

Older lists describe KA 51 as covering Hosur Road from Silk Board outwards. That corridor holds the IT parks of Electronic City and many apartment blocks in Bommanahalli and Hosa Road, which is why the office handles a large share of new two-wheelers and cars.

The boundary with KA 05

Localities near JP Nagar and Jayanagar usually stay with KA 05 Bengaluru South. Where your road sits close to the line, the address on your Aadhaar or rental agreement decides. The system assigns the office from the address, so you cannot choose one that is closer.

What work does the KA 51 office handle?

Like every Karnataka RTO, the Electronic City office handles vehicle registration, transfer of ownership, address change, hypothecation, fitness checks and licence tests for its area. Most applications start online on Vahan or Sarathi, and the office visit is for checks, tests and originals.

Vehicle-side services

New registrations normally come through the dealer, who uploads the papers. Owners visit for inspections, number transfers, duplicate RCs and No Objection Certificates when moving out of the state. Commercial vehicles also come for permits and fitness renewals.

Licence-side services

The office runs learner licence checks and driving tests. Deccan Herald reported in 2017 that the Electronics City RTO would get an RFID-equipped test track, which records the run electronically rather than leaving it to an inspector’s eye alone.

How do KA 51 and KA 59 Chandapura differ?

KA 59 is a separate office at Chandapura on Anekal Road, PIN 562107, and it covers Anekal taluk, including the Kudlu ward. Before it opened, Chandapura and Attibele appeared under KA 51 in many lists, and some directories still show them there.

Which one to use

If your address is in Anekal taluk (Chandapura, Attibele, Anekal town and nearby villages), expect KA 59. If you live inside the city’s southern wards, such as Bommanahalli or Begur, expect KA 51. Vahan confirms the office when you apply.

Old KA 51 plates in Anekal

A car first registered at Electronic City keeps KA 51 for life, even if the owner now lives in Chandapura. The code shows where the vehicle was first registered, not where it is today. Only the address on the RC changes.

How is a KA 51 plate read?

A KA 51 plate reads from left to right: KA for Karnataka, 51 for the Electronic City office, one or two series letters, then a four-digit number. For example, KA 51 followed by letters and digits tells you the car’s first home was the southern-suburbs office.

What the series letters show

Letters move forward as each block of numbers fills up, so a later series usually means a newer registration. They do not point to a locality. Special series are reserved for some vehicle types, but the office code is the only part that tells you the place.

Checking a KA 51 vehicle

To see the registering office, model and validity dates of a vehicle, use the Vahan or mParivahan search with the full number. Owners’ personal details stay masked, but the office name confirms whether the plate genuinely belongs to KA 51.

KA 01 which registration office is it?

KA 01 is the code of Bengaluru Central, the city’s first RTO. Its plates were once a sign of the old city core, and the code still covers central Bengaluru within Bengaluru Urban district. It is one of the busiest offices in the state.

Why KA 01 matters to buyers

Because it was the first code, KA 01 plates are often older vehicles, and fancy KA 01 numbers have fetched high prices at auction. A 2020 report cited KA 01 MV 0001 selling for Rs 10 lakh, called the highest ever in Karnataka.

KA 01 registration areas

A KA 01 registration is issued to owners in the central wards. Exact limits shift as new offices open, so the safest check is your address in Vahan. Our page on the Koramangala RTO office goes deeper into that office’s services.

What is the KA 01 RTO address?

Wikipedia lists the KA 01 RTO address as 21st Main Road, Agara, HSR Layout 1st Sector, Bengaluru 560102. Older pages and maps may still send you to Koramangala, where the office stood before, so check the date of any address you find.

KA01 RTO office address in maps

Search apps sometimes keep old pins for years. Type the full HSR Layout address rather than “KA 01 RTO” alone, and check recent reviews or photos to make sure the pin points to a working office, not the old building.

Is RTO Koramangala still the KA 01 office?

Not according to the current list. RTO Koramangala is the old name many people still use, but the KA 01 office is now listed in HSR Layout’s Agara area. The code did not change with the move, so KA 01 numbers carry on as before.

What is the Bangalore Central RTO?

Bangalore Central RTO is simply the formal name of the KA 01 office. Karnataka names its city offices by direction: Central, West, East, North and South for KA 01 to KA 05. Each covers one slice of the old municipal area.

Who goes to Central

Owners whose address falls in the central wards go here. If you have just moved to Bengaluru and are re-registering a vehicle from another state, the office for your new address does that work, which may be Central or a suburban office.

Ka 01 rto office services

The KA 01 office offers the same registration, licence and permit work as other offices. Its size means more counters but also longer queues, so booking a slot online is worth the effort.

Which RTO is KA53?

KA 53 is the Krishnarajapuram (KR Puram) office on Old Madras Road, Bengaluru 560049. It covers Bengaluru’s eastern suburbs and also the Hoskote taluk of Bengaluru Rural district, so it straddles two districts.

Localities that usually fall under KA 53

The eastern belt along Old Madras Road and Whitefield side areas usually falls here, along with Hoskote town. Where KR Puram meets the KA 03 East area, the address on your proof settles it.

KA 53 and KA 03

Both serve the east, but KA 03 handles the inner eastern wards while KA 53 takes the outer suburbs and Hoskote. A car registered under KA 03 keeps that code even if the owner moves to KR Puram later.

What is the KA05 RTO?

The KA05 RTO is Bengaluru South, now at 3rd Main Road, Jayaprakash Nagara, Bengaluru 560108. It was earlier located in Jayanagar, which is why many people still call it the Jayanagar RTO. It covers southern Bengaluru inside the city limits.

Bangalore South RTO

Bangalore South RTO is the formal name of the KA 05 office. It sits north of the KA 51 area, so owners in Jayanagar, JP Nagar and nearby wards usually come here, while the outer southern suburbs go to Electronic City.

KA 05 in more detail

For a closer look at what the code means and how to read KA 05 plates, see KA 05 which registration. This page keeps to how KA 05 sits beside KA 51.

Where is Yeshwanthpur RTO?

Yeshwanthpur RTO is the Bengaluru North office, code KA 04, on Subedarchatram Road, Bengaluru 560022. It serves northern Bengaluru inside the city area. The Yeshwanthpur name is the one most locals use.

KA 04 rto workload

The KA 04 office handles private and commercial vehicles for the inner north, from two-wheelers to goods carriers. Booking a slot online saves a long wait.

What does a KA 04 registration cover?

A KA 04 registration shows the vehicle was first registered at Yeshwanthpur. It covers owners in northern Bengaluru wards that are not under the newer KA 50 Yelahanka office. Like all codes, it stays with the vehicle for life within Karnataka.

KA 04 versus KA 50

Before Yelahanka opened, much of the north registered under KA 04. Today the outer northern suburbs usually go to KA 50, while the inner north stays with KA 04. Vahan will show the office for your address.

Which is the Bangalore North RTO?

Bangalore North RTO is the formal name of the KA 04 office at Yeshwanthpur. People sometimes confuse it with Yelahanka, which is the northern suburbs office under KA 50. Both are in the north, but they are different offices with different codes.

When to use North and when Yelahanka

If your address is inside the older city wards of the north, expect KA 04. If you live farther out, towards Yelahanka New Town or beyond, expect KA 50. The system decides from your address.

Where is Yelahanka RTO?

Yelahanka RTO is the KA 50 office for Bengaluru’s northern suburbs, listed on Singanayakanahalli Road, Bengaluru 560064. It took over much of the outer north from KA 04 and serves the growing areas on the airport side of the city.

Areas near the airport road

Northern suburbs along the Bellary Road and airport corridor usually fall under KA 50. Areas farther out in Devanahalli belong to KA 43 in Bengaluru Rural district.

More on the Yelahanka office

Visit details, services and directions for KA 50 are covered on our Yelahanka RTO office page, so here we only place it on the city map beside KA 51.

KA03 which RTO is it?

KA 03 is Bengaluru East, now listed at 3rd D Main Road, east of NGEF Layout, Kasturinagara, Bengaluru 560016. It was earlier in Indiranagar, and many people still say “Indiranagar RTO” when they mean KA 03.

KA03 rto after the move

The KA03 RTO kept its code when it moved to Kasturinagara. Plates issued before and after the move look the same. Only the building changed, so old papers that mention Indiranagar are still valid.

Which is the KA 03 registration area?

The KA 03 registration area covers eastern Bengaluru inside the city, such as the Indiranagar, Kasturinagar and nearby wards. The outer east and Hoskote go to KA 53. Your address proof decides between the two.

What is a KA 02 registration?

A KA 02 registration means the vehicle was first registered at Bengaluru West, Rajajinagar, listed at 12th Main Road, Rajajinagara 2nd Block, Bengaluru 560010. It covers western Bengaluru inside the city area.

KA 02 and KA 41

The outer western suburbs, including the Kengeri side, belong to KA 41 Jnana Bharathi on Ullal Main Road. Some insurer lists call that office Rajarajeshwari Nagar. KA 02 keeps the inner western wards.

What is the Bangalore RTO code for each office?

Each Bangalore RTO code maps to one office. The table lists the codes in Bengaluru Urban district and the bus office, using the Wikipedia list of RTO districts. Directories differ on some names, so confirm the office through Vahan or the state site.

Is there a full Bangalore RTO list?

The table above is the Bangalore RTO list for Bengaluru Urban. Bengaluru Rural adds KA 43 Devanahalli and KA 52 Nelamangala. Our guide to RTO Bangalore compares the city offices side by side.

The bus office

KA 57 at Shanthinagar registers state-run KSRTC and BMTC buses. It does not serve private owners, so a private car will never be sent there.

Code card listing ten Bengaluru RTO codes from KA 01 to KA 59 with office areas
Ten codes cover the city and its edges; buses use a separate KA 57 office.

What is the Bangalore RTO number?

“Bangalore RTO number” can mean two things: the office code on a plate (KA 01 to KA 59, as above) or a phone number. Phone lines change often, and the ones in directories are not confirmed, so we do not repeat them here.

Finding a working phone number

Use the contact list on the Karnataka Transport Department site, or the number printed on your Vahan or Sarathi appointment slip. For national queries, the Parivahan portal lists its own helpdesk.

How is a Bangalore vehicle registration number built?

A Bangalore vehicle registration number follows the national format: state code, office code, series and number. So KA 51 plus letters plus four digits means a Karnataka vehicle from the Electronic City office. The format is the same for all ten city codes.

Four parts of a Karnataka registration number read from state code to vehicle number
Only the two digits after KA point to a place; the rest is a running sequence.

The four parts

KA is the state, the two digits are the office, the one or two letters are the series, and the last four digits run from 0001 to 9999. When a series is full, the office moves on to the next letters.

BH and temporary numbers

Some Bengaluru cars carry a BH series number instead, available to eligible owners who move between states. New cars may also show a temporary number for a short period before the permanent KA number is issued.

What does KA registration mean?

KA registration simply means the vehicle is registered in Karnataka. KA is the state code assigned in the national registration scheme, and every Karnataka RTO, from Bengaluru to Bidar, issues numbers that begin with it.

Reading other KA codes

Our page on the KA number plate lists what each Karnataka code means and how the plates look, so this page only covers the codes searched alongside KA 51.

How does a Karnataka number plate look?

A Karnataka number plate follows the national rules: a plain plate with the number in a standard font, and on newer vehicles an HSRP with a chromium hologram, a laser-etched code and IND in light blue. Colours depend on the vehicle’s use and fuel.

Colours by vehicle type

Private vehicles show black characters on white, and commercial vehicles black on yellow. Battery electric vehicles carry a green plate, notified by MoRTH in 2018. Temporary plates are red on yellow, and trade plates white on red.

What is not allowed

Names, slogans, fancy fonts and party symbols on the plate break the rules. Police in Bengaluru do stop vehicles for unreadable plates, and an unreadable plate can also defeat the traffic cameras.

What rules apply to a Karnataka car number plate?

A Karnataka car number plate for a light motor vehicle is 50 cm by 12 cm under the HSRP standard. Cars made from 1 April 2019 leave the dealer with HSRP front and rear plus a third registration mark sticker on the windshield.

The windshield sticker

The sticker shows the registration date, number and plate codes. A light blue sticker is used for petrol and CNG cars and orange for diesel, under the MoRTH order reported in 2018.

Older cars

Cars registered before 1 April 2019 need HSRP fitted separately. In Karnataka that is still required, though fines were paused in 2026; the sections on HSRP below explain the current position.

What rules apply to a Karnataka bike number plate?

A Karnataka bike number plate under HSRP is 20 cm by 10 cm at the rear, and the front plate for two-wheelers is 28.5 cm by 4.5 cm. Two-wheelers do not get a windshield sticker, and the plates are fixed with snap-lock rivets.

Common problems on bikes

Bent plates, plates tucked under the seat and stickers over numbers are frequent reasons for police checks. A damaged HSRP should be replaced through the same booking route, not with a shop-made copy.

Which RTO is KA19?

KA 19 is the Mangaluru office on Maidan Road, Mangaluru 575001. It covers Mangaluru city and taluk in Dakshina Kannada. Other parts of the district have their own codes, such as KA 21 Puttur and KA 70 Bantwal.

Table of Karnataka district RTO codes including Mandya, Udupi, Vijayapura, Bidar and Athani
District offices keep their own two-digit codes, and some taluks have a code of their own.

KA19 rto and the coast

The KA19 RTO serves only Mangaluru city and taluk. Owners in Puttur or Bantwal taluks have their own offices and do not need to travel to Mangaluru for routine work.

KA 19 plates elsewhere

Many people from coastal Karnataka work in Bengaluru, so KA 19 cars are common in the city. They do not need re-registration within the state, only an RC address update if the owner wants it.

Where is Udupi RTO?

Udupi RTO is the KA 20 office on Dr V S Acharya Road, Manipal 576104. It covers the whole of Udupi district. The Manipal location means many students and staff of the university town register vehicles here.

Udupi and Mangaluru

Udupi and Mangaluru are neighbours, so KA 19 and KA 20 cars mix on the coastal roads. Each code shows where the vehicle was first registered, and both are valid across the state.

Udupi rto services

The office offers registration, licences and permits for the district. Book tests on Sarathi and vehicle work on Vahan before visiting.

Where is RTO Mandya?

RTO Mandya is the KA 11 office on RTO Road, Mandya 571401. It covers Mandya town and taluk plus Malavalli, Maddur, Srirangapatna and Pandavapura taluks. Nagamangala in the same district has its own office under KA 54.

KA 11 and KA 54

If you live in Nagamangala, your office is KA 54 on Basaveshwara Nagara Road. The rest of the listed taluks go to Mandya. Vahan shows the office from your address.

Where is RTO Vijayapura?

RTO Vijayapura is the KA 28 office on Bagalkote Road, Vijayapura 586109. It covers the whole of Vijayapura district in north Karnataka. The city was formerly called Bijapur, so older papers may use that name.

Vijayapura and Bagalkote

Bagalkote district has its own code, KA 29. Owners in Vijayapura district stay with KA 28 for all registration and licence work.

Which office is the KA38 RTO?

The KA38 RTO is the Bidar office on Naubad Road, Bidar 585402. It covers Bidar town and taluk and Aurad taluk. Other parts of Bidar district have separate codes: KA 39 Bhalki and KA 56 Basavakalyan.

What is a KA 38 registration?

A KA 38 registration shows the vehicle was first registered in Bidar. Owners in Bhalki or Basavakalyan get KA 39 or KA 56 instead, even though they live in the same district.

Bidar on the state border

Bidar borders Telangana and Maharashtra, so owners moving across the border will need a No Objection Certificate from this office before re-registering.

Which office is the KA10 RTO?

The KA10 RTO is the Chamarajanagara office. It covers the whole of Chamarajanagara district at the southern tip of Karnataka, next to Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Plates from here begin KA 10.

What is the KA 10 RTO office address?

Wikipedia lists the KA 10 RTO office address as Chamarajanagara Bypass Road, Chamarajanagara 571313. Confirm it on the state site before a long trip, as with any listed address.

Border-district work

The district touches Tamil Nadu and Kerala, so owners moving to either state start with a No Objection Certificate from this office.

Which RTO is KA 71?

KA 71 is the Athani office on Gokak Road, Athani 591304 in Belagavi district. It covers Athani and Raibag taluks. It is one of several offices in Belagavi district, which also has KA 22 Belagavi, KA 23 Chikkodi and KA 49 Gokak.

KA 71 rto and Belagavi

The KA 71 RTO has one of the highest numbers in the state. Vehicles registered in Athani before it opened keep the code of the office that served them then; only new registrations get KA 71.

Near the Maharashtra border

Athani is close to Maharashtra, so owners moving across the border need a No Objection Certificate from the office before re-registering.

How does HSRP number plate Karnataka online booking work?

HSRP number plate Karnataka online booking runs through vehicle makers, not the RTO. You start at the SIAM site, choose Book HSRP and your maker, enter the vehicle details, pick a dealer and slot, and pay. The plates go to the dealer, who fits them.

Five steps to book an HSRP number plate in Karnataka online through the SIAM portal
The plate is made to order and sent to the dealer you choose, not to your home.
  1. Open the SIAM Book HSRP link. Go to siam.in, choose Book HSRP and select your vehicle maker to reach the right portal.
  2. Enter vehicle details. Type the registration, engine and chassis numbers exactly as printed on the RC.
  3. Choose a dealer. Pick an authorised dealer in your district where the plates will be fitted.
  4. Pick a slot and pay. Select a date and time and pay online; keep the receipt.
  5. Get the plates fitted. Visit the dealer on the slot date after the SMS arrives; plates are fixed with snap-lock rivets.

Documents you need

Keep the RC handy. The portal asks for the registration number, engine number and chassis number, which you copy from it. Wrong digits are the commonest reason a booking is rejected.

Why your maker matters

Each portal serves only certain brands, so a Honda owner and a Maruti owner may land on different sites. Start from SIAM rather than a search ad to reach the right one.

Who needs an HSRP number plate in Karnataka?

An HSRP number plate in Karnataka is needed on every vehicle. Vehicles made from 1 April 2019 get it from the dealer. Older vehicles registered before that date need it fitted separately, which is the group the state’s deadlines were aimed at.

Owners of older vehicles

Karnataka’s 2023 notice covered vehicles registered before 1 April 2019. In April 2026 the transport minister said about 2 crore such vehicles existed and about 1.41 crore still had no HSRP.

New vehicles

If you bought a vehicle after April 2019 and it has no HSRP, ask the dealer. The plate should have been fitted before delivery, at no separate booking.

High security number plate Bangalore online apply steps

For high security number plate Bangalore online apply, Bengaluru owners follow the same state route: the SIAM link, the maker’s portal and a dealer in Bengaluru Urban. There is no separate city website, and the RTO itself does not sell plates.

Do and don't card for HSRP number plate booking and fitment in Bangalore
Most HSRP complaints come from look-alike sites, not from the plate itself.

Picking a dealer in Bengaluru

Choose a dealer close to home, such as one near Hosur Road if you live under KA 51. Slots fill fast in busy months, so book early and keep the SMS.

Where do you get an HSRP number plate Bangalore fitted?

Plates are fitted at the dealer workshop you pick during booking. Home delivery is not offered under the process described by Karnataka reports, and roadside plate shops cannot fit genuine HSRP.

What is the HSRP number plate Bangalore price?

The HSRP number plate Bangalore price is the same as elsewhere in Karnataka, because one state rate range applies. Reports in 2023 gave Rs 650 to Rs 850 for cars and Rs 400 to Rs 600 for two-wheelers, including taxes, for both plates.

VehicleKarnataka HSRP price (both plates, incl. tax)Maharashtra for comparison

Car₹650 to ₹850₹745 plus GST
Source: Citizen Matters HSRP explainer, Sept 2023, ETV Bharat on Maharashtra HSRP fees. Checked October 2026.

Why prices vary

Each maker’s portal shows its own figure inside the range, and it may change. The final amount on the portal at the time of booking is what you pay; ignore much higher quotes from third-party sites.

What is the HSRP number plate last date in Karnataka?

There is no live HSRP number plate last date in Karnataka as of October 2026. The first deadline was 17 November 2023, and it was extended several times, eight deadlines in all. In 2026 fines were paused while a High Court case continues.

Timeline of HSRP rules in Karnataka from the 2019 mandate to the 2026 fine pause
Eight deadlines came and went; a High Court case now holds back fines.

What the department said in 2026

On 12 June 2026 the Transport Department said HSRP remains mandatory for vehicles registered before 1 April 2019. It called the pause in fines temporary and said penalties may resume once the court case ends.

What the court case is about

The appeal challenges the rule that plates be fitted only through vehicle makers and their dealers. Our page on the HSRP Karnataka deadline follows each date and any new order.

How does HSRP number plate Goa booking work?

For HSRP number plate Goa, owners of vehicles registered before 1 April 2019 book through the SIAM portal too, pick an authorised fitment centre and slot, and pay online, according to a July 2026 report. Appointments were usually available within about a month.

No fixed Goa date

We found no confirmed Goa deadline. A May 2025 report said more than half of Goa’s registered vehicles still lacked HSRP. Check the Goa transport directorate for any new order.

Exemptions in Goa

The report said exemptions are considered only in exceptional cases, such as a maker with no dealer in Goa. Each request is looked at individually.

Rajasthan high security number plate online apply: how does it work?

For Rajasthan high security number plate online apply, the process follows the same national pattern: book with the vehicle maker’s portal, enter the RC details, choose a fitment centre and pay. The Rajasthan Transport Department is the authority for any state order.

Where to start in Rajasthan

Start from the SIAM Book HSRP link and choose your maker. Avoid search ads that ask for payment before showing your vehicle’s details.

Is HSRP number plate Rajasthan compulsory for old vehicles?

Insurer guides say HSRP number plate Rajasthan rules apply to all vehicles, old and new, and report an order to fit plates by 10 August 2024. We could not confirm a later Rajasthan date, so check the state transport department before relying on any deadline.

What is the high security number plate Rajasthan last date?

The only high security number plate Rajasthan last date we found reported is 10 August 2024, which has passed. No newer order could be confirmed from a reliable source in October 2026.

What the national law says

Some states book missing HSRP under section 192 of the Motor Vehicles Act, which carries Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 for a first offence. States decide how they apply it.

What are the high security number plate Delhi rules?

High security number plate Delhi rules require HSRP and the colour-coded fuel sticker on vehicles. Delhi ran a drive in 2020 against vehicles without them, and reports cited a compounded fine of Rs 5,500, with others citing Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.

Delhi’s sticker colours

The colour sticker shows fuel type: light blue for petrol and CNG, orange for diesel. It is fixed on the windshield along with the HSRP.

What is the HSRP number plate Jharkhand position?

We could not find a current HSRP number plate Jharkhand order for old vehicles. The national rule still applies: vehicles made from 1 April 2019 get HSRP from the dealer. Owners of older vehicles should check the Jharkhand transport department’s notices.

What applies today

New vehicles sold in Jharkhand come with HSRP and the third registration mark. For older vehicles, follow any district transport office notice rather than social media posts.

How does high security number plate online apply Bihar work?

For high security number plate online apply Bihar, owners use authorised dealers or agencies, online or offline. An April 2026 report said Bihar gave owners of about 52 lakh pre-2019 vehicles one month to comply, with fines of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 after that.

Confirming the Bihar order

The figures come from a news report, not the transport department’s own notice. District Transport Offices give the current details.
