Chhattisgarh transport department guide: CG Parivahan, RTO codes and vehicle records

By , Editor and reviewer · Updated · 24 min read · Independent guide, not a government website

In short

The Chhattisgarh transport department registers vehicles, issues licences, collects road tax and supervises the state's RTOs. Its vehicle work runs on the national Vahan 4.0 system and licences on Sarathi 4.0, so a CG Parivahan search is really a Vahan search. District offices use codes from CG-04 (Raipur) to CG-30 (Balrampur), while CG-01 to CG-03 are statewide series.

Key takeaways

  • Search any CG number on Vahan or mParivahan; public results mask the owner's name.
  • CG-04 is Raipur, CG-07 Durg, CG-10 Bilaspur, CG-12 Korba and CG-13 Raigarh.
  • CG-01, CG-02 and CG-03 are statewide series for the Governor, the state government and the police.
  • The state website carries rules and notices; your actual record sits on the national Vahan register.
  • Searches for other states, Kolkata's PVD or Noida are answered briefly and pointed to the right office.
  • Never pay an agent or a look-alike site for a vehicle search; the official check is free.

What is the transport department in Chhattisgarh?

The transport department of Chhattisgarh is the state government office that registers vehicles, issues driving licences, collects road tax, grants permits and enforces the Motor Vehicles Act. It works through district regional and additional transport offices, each identified by a CG code printed on every local number plate.

Transport department services in Chhattisgarh mapped to Vahan, Sarathi, mParivahan and district RTO offices
Most CG work starts online and ends with one RTO visit, if any.

Who heads the department?

A Secretary-cum-Transport Commissioner leads the department under the state’s transport minister. Directory listings place the headquarters at Indravati Bhawan in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Check the current address on the department’s own website before you post documents, since office moves are announced there first.

How the state fits under national law

Chhattisgarh did not write its own vehicle law. The Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicles Rules apply across India, and the state adds its own rules on tax, permits and procedure. That is why forms such as Form 20 or Form 29 look the same in Raipur as in Delhi.

What does CG Parivahan mean?

CG Parivahan is the name people type into search engines when they want Chhattisgarh’s online transport services. There is no separate CG Parivahan application. The phrase leads, in practice, to Vahan for vehicles, Sarathi for licences and the state transport department site for notices.

Where the phrase comes from

“Parivahan” is the Hindi word for transport, and parivahan.gov.in is the national portal of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Adding “CG” simply narrows the search to the state. Treat any app or site calling itself “CG Parivahan” with care unless it opens on a gov.in address.

What a CG Parivahan search usually wants

Most people want one of four things: the owner or details of a CG number, the status of an application, an RC or licence copy, or the address of an RTO. Each is covered below, with links to our detailed guides where another page handles the full process.

Parivahan Chhattisgarh: how state and national systems connect

Parivahan Chhattisgarh is a two-layer arrangement. The state transport department decides tax, fees and local procedure, while the National Informatics Centre hosts the software. According to the national e-governance directory, the department has adopted Vahan 4.0 for vehicle registration and Sarathi 4.0 for driving licences.

What moved online

Services listed for the state include appointment booking, application status, duplicate registration, change of address, transfer of ownership and hypothecation entries on the vehicle side. On the licence side, the list covers learner tests, duplicate licences and status checks. Our vehicle information hub explains each national service.

What still needs the office

Vehicle inspection, biometric capture, the driving test and original document checks still happen in person. The online step usually books the slot and collects the fee, so the visit is shorter than before.

Chhattisgarh was once part of Madhya Pradesh

The state was formed on 1 November 2000 from Madhya Pradesh. Some old Bastar vehicles once carried MP codes, which is why you still see historic MP numbers in very old records. New registrations in the state all use CG.

What does a regional transport office do?

A regional transport office is the local arm of the transport department. It inspects vehicles, approves registration entries on Vahan, conducts licence tests, records ownership changes and handles permits for its district. In Chhattisgarh, some district offices are regional transport offices and others additional regional transport offices (ARTO).

Comparison of a regional transport office and the Chhattisgarh state transport department and their roles
Your RTO does the work; the department writes the rules it follows.

Everyday tasks at the RTO

Owners visit for vehicle inspection after a transfer from another state, for a fitness test on a commercial vehicle, for correction of a wrong entry, or to collect a document. Learner and driving licence applicants come for the test and photo.

What the RTO cannot do

It cannot change tax rates, waive a court fine or alter a record held by another state. Those sit with the state department, the courts or the other state’s office respectively.

How is road transport run in Chhattisgarh?

Road transport in Chhattisgarh is regulated by the state transport department, built and maintained by the road agencies, and policed on the ground by traffic police. The department registers every motor vehicle and licenses every driver, while highway agencies handle the roads themselves.

Who handles which part

The transport department licenses drivers and vehicles. The state public works department and national highway agencies build roads. Traffic police enforce rules and issue challans. Mixing these up leads to long waits at the wrong counter.

Goods and passenger vehicles

Trucks, buses and taxis need permits and regular fitness certificates in addition to registration. Commercial owners deal with the RTO more often than private car owners, who may visit only once or twice in fifteen years.

Which transport portal should you use in Chhattisgarh?

The right transport portal depends on the task. Use Vahan for anything about a vehicle, Sarathi for licences, mParivahan or DigiLocker for phone copies, and the state department site for notices and office details. All official addresses end in gov.in.

Checking the status of a filed request

After filing, keep the application number. Our guide to know your application status shows how to track it on Vahan without visiting the office.

Is transport gov in the right address?

People searching transport gov in usually want an official transport site. There is no single “transport.gov.in” for all of India. The national portal is parivahan.gov.in, the ministry is at morth.nic.in, and Chhattisgarh’s department uses cgtransport.gov.in.

How to recognise an official site

The domain must end in gov.in or nic.in, with nothing after it. A site such as “cg-transport-gov-in.com” is private, whatever its logo shows. Government vehicle search is free, so a payment page for a search is a warning sign.

When the state site will not load

The state site is sometimes slow or unreachable outside India. Vahan and Sarathi carry every Chhattisgarh record, so you can finish most tasks there even when the state page is down.

What is a road transport office?

A road transport office is another name for an RTO. Some people use it to mean any office of the transport department, including district transport offices and checkposts. In Chhattisgarh, the office that registered your vehicle is the one named on your RC.

Finding your office from the RC

Look at the code after CG on your plate or RC. CG-12, for example, points to Korba. That office holds your record for local services, though Vahan lets you apply online from anywhere.

What is the public vehicles department?

The public vehicles department, or PVD, is the registering office in Kolkata, West Bengal, with its main office on Beltala Road. It is not part of Chhattisgarh’s set-up. Searches for it from Chhattisgarh usually come from people who confuse the name with a commercial-vehicle wing.

Commercial vehicles in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh, taxis, buses and goods vehicles are registered at the same district RTO as private vehicles, through Vahan. Permits come from the transport authorities set up under the Act, explained further down this page.

If your vehicle is from Kolkata

A WB-registered vehicle stays on West Bengal’s record. To re-register it in Chhattisgarh, you need a no-objection certificate from the West Bengal office and then registration at your CG RTO.

RTO Bilaspur: what does CG 10 cover?

RTO Bilaspur uses the code CG-10 and handles Bilaspur district. It is one of the state’s busiest offices because Bilaspur is a major city and railway zone headquarters. A CG 10 number tells you the vehicle was first registered there.

CG 10 kaha ka hai?

CG 10 is Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Bilaspur in Himachal Pradesh is a different town with an HP code, so check the state letters first if a plate looks unfamiliar.

Bilaspur RTO code after the district split

Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district was carved out of Bilaspur and established on 10 February 2020. Vehicles registered before the split keep CG-10. For the code now used for new registrations in that district, ask the local transport office.

Which vahan site holds CG records?

The vahan site that holds every Chhattisgarh vehicle is vahan.parivahan.gov.in, run by NIC for the ministry. There is no separate state database for public use. The same record feeds mParivahan, DigiLocker and police checks.

What the record shows the public

Model, fuel, class, registering office, registration date and validity dates. The owner’s name is partly hidden, and address and mobile are not shown at all.

What does parivahan nigam mean?

A parivahan nigam is a state road transport corporation, the body that runs government buses. It is separate from the transport department, which regulates vehicles. Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, for example, both have well-known corporations with their own booking sites.

Bus services in Chhattisgarh

Bus tickets and timetables in Chhattisgarh come from bus operators, not from the RTO or the department’s website. Do not look for a seat booking on Vahan; it only holds vehicle records.

Rajasthan’s corporation

If you meant the Rajasthan corporation, our page on Rajasthan Parivahan Nigam explains its services and how they differ from RTO work.

How does a CG vehicle owner search by registration number work?

A CG vehicle owner search by registration number reads the Vahan record for that plate and shows a masked owner name with the vehicle’s details. You need only the number for the public view. Full owner details are released only to the owner, police or a court.

Five steps for a CG Parivahan vehicle search by registration number on Vahan or mParivahan
Public results mask the owner's name; full data is OTP-protected.
  1. Open an official service. Use Vahan citizen services on parivahan.gov.in or the mParivahan app, both run by NIC.
  2. Type the CG number. Enter the full number with no spaces, for example CG04AB1234.
  3. Pass the check. Fill the captcha, or the OTP sent to the registered mobile for owner-only services.
  4. Read the record. Note the model, registering RTO, registration date and the insurance, PUC and fitness validity.
  5. Act on what you find. Use the matching Vahan service, such as transfer or address change, and visit the RTO only if asked.

CG RTO vehicle registration owner search for an accident

After an accident, give the number to the police rather than searching for a phone number. Police can request full details through their own access, and your insurer can trace the other vehicle’s policy.

The full walkthrough

Our dedicated page on CG vehicle owner search covers screenshots, app options and privacy limits in detail.

Vahan CG: how Chhattisgarh records sit on Vahan

Vahan CG means the Chhattisgarh portion of the national Vahan 4.0 database. When you choose Chhattisgarh and an RTO on Vahan, every application you file goes to that office’s queue. Searches like e vahan cg, vahan nic in cg and vahan chhattisgarh all lead here.

Common vahan CG search problems and fixes for Chhattisgarh vehicle records on the national portal
Most failed searches come from typing errors or unofficial look-alike sites.

Choosing the right office on Vahan

Pick the RTO where the vehicle is registered, shown by the code on the plate. Choosing the wrong office sends the request to a counter that cannot act on it, and you may have to file again.

CG vahan registration details after a change

After a transfer, address change or loan closure, the record updates only when the RTO approves the request. Search again a few days after approval and download a fresh RC copy from DigiLocker.

How does transport department login work?

A transport department login is needed only for some services. Citizens use OTP on the registered mobile for most Vahan and Sarathi tasks, without creating a password. Dealers, insurers, banks and officials get separate user accounts issued by the department.

Citizen login on Vahan

Some services ask you to create a citizen account with your mobile number; others need only the vehicle number and chassis digits. Keep the mobile number in your record current, or the OTP goes to an old phone.

What is a road transport authority?

A road transport authority in Indian law is the State Transport Authority or a Regional Transport Authority. Under Section 68 of the Motor Vehicles Act, the state government sets these up to grant and control permits for buses, taxis and goods vehicles.

Road traffic authority and RTO authority

Road traffic authority and rto authority are informal versions of the same idea. Permits are decided by the transport authority, while registration and licences are handled by the RTO. In daily use, both sit in the same building in many districts.

How to read a Chhattisgarh number plate

A Chhattisgarh number plate starts with CG, then two digits for the registering RTO, then series letters and a four-digit number. CG 07 AB 1234, for example, is a Durg vehicle. The format is set nationally; only the state letters and office digits change.

Chhattisgarh car number plate format

A chhattisgarh car number plate follows the high-security plate format with a chromium hologram and a laser-etched code. Plates are fitted by authorised suppliers linked to the vehicle record, not by roadside shops.

Reading a CG car number at a glance

The two digits after CG are the quickest clue to where a car comes from. A cg car number starting CG 04 is from Raipur; CG 17 points to Jagdalpur in Bastar.

How to see CG vehicle details online

To see CG vehicle details, enter the number on Vahan or in mParivahan. You get the maker, model, fuel, class, registering office and validity dates for insurance, PUC, tax and fitness. It takes about a minute and costs nothing.

CG RTO vehicle information on the phone

The mParivahan app shows the same cg rto vehicle information and lets the owner add a virtual RC. Download it from the official app stores, published by NIC, and avoid copycats with similar icons.

What are V Vahan, motor vahan and motar vahan?

V Vahan, motor vahan and motar vahan are spelling variations people type when they mean Vahan or a motor vehicle. “Motor vahan” is simply Hindi usage for motor vehicle, and motar is a common misspelling. None of them is a separate portal.

V Vahan

There is no official service called V Vahan. The phrase usually comes from typing “vahan” after a stray letter, or from app names copying the Vahan brand. Use the Vahan address on parivahan.gov.in.

Motor vahan in law

The Motor Vehicles Act is called the Motor Yan Adhiniyam in Hindi. “Motor vahan vibhag” is often used to mean the transport department itself.

What does the state transport department handle?

The state transport department sets Chhattisgarh’s road tax, notifies fees within national limits, publishes permit rules and supervises every district RTO. It also runs enforcement squads and checkposts. National rules come from the ministry; state rules come from here.

Road transport department functions

Searches for the road transport department usually mean the same body. Its main functions are registration, licensing, taxation, permits and enforcement. Road building is a separate public works subject.

Where to find state notices

Tax changes, fee notices and new office openings appear on cgtransport.gov.in. Ask the RTO to show the notice if a fee charged at a counter differs from what you saw online.

CG RTO code list

The CG RTO code list below runs from CG-01 to CG-30. Codes CG-01 to CG-03 are statewide series for special vehicles; CG-04 onward belong to district offices. This list is the common reference used across sources, checked in October 2026.

Chhattisgarh RTO number for newer districts

The state has created districts after this list was set, starting with Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi in 2020. We could not confirm the chhattisgarh rto number for each newer district from an official source, so ask the local transport office or check the RTO dropdown on Vahan.

Chhattisgarh vehicle code and the CG code

The chhattisgarh vehicle code is CG, used on every plate. The cg vehicle code for an office is the two digits after it. Together they form the chhattisgarh number plate code you see on the road.

Decode a plate yourself

Which office is CG 13 RTO?

CG 13 RTO is the Raigarh district office. Raigarh is an industrial district with heavy goods traffic, so a large share of its work involves trucks, permits and fitness tests. A CG 13 plate means the vehicle was first registered in Raigarh.

CG 13 and nearby codes

Raigarh’s neighbours include Jashpur (CG-14), Janjgir-Champa (CG-11) and Korba (CG-12). Vehicles move freely between them without re-registration, since all are in the same state.

CG 11 RTO: Janjgir-Champa

CG 11 RTO is the Janjgir office for Janjgir-Champa district, east of Bilaspur on the Mahanadi. Champa is a town in the same district, so a CG 11 vehicle may come from either place.

Is there a transport authority of India?

There is no single body called the transport authority of India. Road transport rules come from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), while each state’s transport department runs registration and licensing. National highways are built by the National Highways Authority of India, a separate body.

Transport ministry and parivahan mantralaya

The transport ministry, or parivahan mantralaya in Hindi, writes the Central Motor Vehicles Rules and owns the Vahan and Sarathi platforms. Its website is morth.nic.in. It does not issue individual RCs or licences.

Transport department India and government of India

Searches for transport department india or transport department government of India usually mean MoRTH. For any personal record, though, the work is done by the state department and your RTO.

How to get CG vehicle registration details

CG vehicle registration details come from the Vahan record. The public view gives vehicle data and validity dates; the owner, with the chassis digits and an OTP, can open and print the full RC. Both routes are free on official portals.

CG RTO registration details for owners

Owners can print the RC from Vahan, add a virtual RC in mParivahan, or pull a signed RC into DigiLocker. The signed DigiLocker copy is the one most insurers and police accept as proof.

CG RTO registration search when the number fails

If a cg rto registration search returns nothing, check for a mistyped letter, a missing zero or an extra space. Very old manual records may not have been fully moved online; the registering RTO can update them.

What does CG passing mean?

CG passing means a vehicle is registered, or “passed”, in Chhattisgarh. People say “CG passing car” to describe a used car with a CG number, which matters for buyers in other states because they must re-register it after a move.

CG RTO passing for a new vehicle

A new vehicle gets its cg rto passing through the dealer, who files the details on Vahan. The RTO approves the entry and the number is allotted, usually without the buyer visiting the office.

Buying a CG-passing car in another state

You can buy it, but if you keep it in another state beyond the period the law allows, you must take an NOC from the CG office and register it where you live.

What is a road check?

A road check is a roadside inspection by transport officials or traffic police. Under Section 130 of the Motor Vehicles Act, a driver must produce the licence and registration certificate when an authorised officer asks. Insurance and PUC are usually checked too.

Showing documents digitally

Copies in DigiLocker or mParivahan are accepted as valid documents during checks. Keep the app logged in before you set out, since mobile data may be weak on highways.

Road dept or transport department?

Road dept searches often mix two separate offices. The public works or roads department builds and repairs roads; the transport department registers vehicles and licenses drivers. Potholes go to the first, RC problems to the second.

Road and transport complaints

For a road and transport issue on a national highway, complaints go to the highway authority; on state roads, to the state public works department. Vehicle or licence complaints go to your RTO or the department’s grievance channel.

Traffic problems

Signal failures, parking and wrong-side driving are traffic police matters. The RTO cannot remove a challan, but it can block services until a pending one is cleared.

Chhattisgarh RTO offices and services

Every Chhattisgarh RTO offers the same core services: registration, transfer, address change, hypothecation, duplicate RC, licences and permits. What differs is the workload. Raipur, Durg and Bilaspur see the most applications; smaller districts often have shorter queues.

Dos and don'ts for a Chhattisgarh RTO visit, covering appointments, documents, agents and OTP safety
An online appointment and the right papers usually mean one short visit.

CH RTO and similar spellings

CH RTO is sometimes typed for Chhattisgarh, but CH is Chandigarh’s plate code. Chhattisgarh’s code is CG, so a CH plate belongs to a Chandigarh vehicle.

Finding an office address

We do not list office addresses or phone numbers here, because we could not verify current ones. Use the office list on the state transport site or the RTO selection on Vahan.

Ambikapur and Surguja

The Surguja district office in Ambikapur uses CG-15. Our CG 15 RTO code page covers that office in detail.

CG 12 RTO code: which district?

The CG 12 RTO code belongs to Korba district. Korba is a coal and power hub, so goods vehicles and heavy machinery make up a large share of local registrations. A CG 12 plate shows that the first registration was at the Korba office.

What is the Raipur RTO code?

The Raipur RTO code is CG-04. Raipur is the state’s largest city and, with Nava Raipur, the seat of government, so it handles the highest volume of new registrations. A CG 04 plate is the most common sight on Chhattisgarh’s roads.

CG04 RTO services

The CG04 RTO handles private, commercial and electric vehicle registrations for Raipur district, plus licence tests. Online appointments help avoid long queues at this busy office.

Raipur and the CG-02 series

State government vehicles across Chhattisgarh carry CG-02, which many people link to Raipur because the secretariat is there. CG-02 is a statewide series, not a Raipur district code.

CG 03 district name: why there is none

People search for the CG 03 district name, but CG-03 has no district. It is the statewide series for Chhattisgarh Police vehicles. A CG 03 plate on a jeep or motorcycle tells you it belongs to the police, wherever it is posted.

Stat card of the CG01, CG02 and CG03 statewide series for governor, government and police vehicles
These three series have no district, so a CG 03 district name does not exist.

CG-01 and CG-02

CG-01 is reserved for the Governor’s vehicles and CG-02 for state government vehicles. Neither can be booked by a private buyer.

Spotting a fake official plate

Using a government series on a private vehicle is an offence. If you doubt a plate, search the number on Vahan; an official vehicle shows the department as owner class.

What is a gadi licence?

A gadi licence is the everyday Hindi term for a driving licence (“gaadi” means vehicle). In Chhattisgarh, licences are issued through Sarathi 4.0: a learner licence first, then a driving test at the RTO for the permanent licence.

How to apply in Chhattisgarh

You apply online, book a learner test, wait the required period, then book the driving test. Our Sarathi CG guide walks through each step for the state.

How are govt vehicle numbers issued?

A govt vehicle of the Chhattisgarh government carries the CG-02 series, and police vehicles CG-03. Central government vehicles based in the state are registered with the local office like other vehicles, under the rules for official vehicles.

Govt of India car and vehicle

A govt of india car posted in Chhattisgarh normally uses a CG number from the district where it is registered. A govt of india vehicle follows the same Vahan process, with the department as owner.

CG 25 RTO: kaha ka hai?

CG 25 RTO is Bemetara district. If you are asking “cg 25 kaha ka hai”, the answer is Bemetara, in central Chhattisgarh, between Durg and Mungeli. Vehicles registered there carry CG 25 on the plate.

Services at Bemetara

The office offers the standard Vahan and Sarathi services. For a full guide to Durg, see our CG 07 RTO code page.

What is vahan national?

Vahan national refers to the national register that holds every vehicle record in India. The vahan nic n search is a garbled form of the older vahan.nic.in address. Today, the citizen services sit at vahan.parivahan.gov.in.

Vahan nic in versus parivahan.gov.in

Old bookmarks may still use nic.in addresses. Both point to NIC systems, but use the parivahan.gov.in route to be sure you land on the current pages.

How national Vahan helps CG owners

If your vehicle is stolen and found in another state, the national record lets police there identify it at once. The same applies to challans and insurance claims.

M transport and transport nic in

M transport is ambiguous; most people mean mParivahan, the official app for virtual RC and licence. Transport nic in searches come from older NIC addresses. Use parivahan.gov.in rather than guessing a domain.

Transport details and the traffic department

Transport details such as RC, licence or tax status come from the transport department. Challans, accident reports and traffic management come from the traffic department, the traffic police wing. Knowing which one holds the data saves a wasted trip.

Regional traffic office

A regional traffic office is not a formal office in Chhattisgarh. The phrase usually means the RTO or a traffic police station. For a challan, contact traffic police; for vehicle papers, the RTO.

Motor transport officer

A motor transport officer is a post in some police and government motor transport wings that manages official fleets. It is not the officer who approves your RC. RTO approvals come from registering authorities and motor vehicle inspectors.

CG 24 RTO code and Balod RTO

The CG 24 RTO code belongs to Balod district. Balod RTO registers vehicles and runs licence tests for the district, which lies south of Durg. A CG 24 plate shows a first registration at the Balod office.

How to choose a Sarathi driving school

A Sarathi driving school search usually means a licensed driving school linked to the licence system. Licensed schools train learners, and in some cases their certificates support the driving test. Check that a school is licensed by the transport department before you pay.

What to ask a school

Ask to see the school’s licence from the department, the instructor’s qualifications and the vehicle used for training. A licensed school can explain whether its certificate changes your test process.

Esewa CG vehicle search: what it means

Esewa CG vehicle search has no matching official service that we could find. Some states once ran “e-Sewa” pages for vehicle search, and eSewa is also the name of a Nepali digital wallet. For Chhattisgarh, the working route is Vahan or mParivahan.

Eseva transport

Eseva transport searches often come from the eSeva citizen-service centres used in some southern states. They do not serve Chhattisgarh vehicles. Your CG record sits on Vahan.

Pay only on official pages

Never pay a “search fee” on a site called e-sewa or similar. Official vehicle search is free; fees apply only to actual applications such as transfer or a duplicate RC.

CG 28 RTO code and Durg RTO code

The CG 28 RTO code belongs to Mungeli district, north-west of Bilaspur. The Durg RTO code is CG-07, one of the busiest offices in the state because of the Durg-Bhilai industrial area. Both use the same Vahan modules.

Mungeli at a glance

Mungeli’s office handles a smaller volume than Durg, so appointment slots are often easier to get. Vehicles first registered there carry CG 28.

Durg and Bhilai

Bhilai lies within Durg district, so most Bhilai vehicles carry CG 07. The office serves both the city and surrounding blocks.

What is the vahan full form?

There is no vahan full form, because Vahan is not an abbreviation. “Vahan” is the Hindi word for vehicle, and the ministry used it as the name of its vehicle registration software. Sarathi, meaning charioteer or driver, names the licence system.

Looking for vahan Uttarakhand or Uttar Pradesh?

Searches for vahan uttarakhand, vahan uttar pradesh and the up rto website reach the same Vahan portal; you only choose a different state. Records stay with the state of registration, so a Chhattisgarh office cannot act on a UP or Uttarakhand vehicle.

Patna RTO website and Noida transport authority

The patna rto website search leads to Bihar’s transport department, which runs on the same national portals. The noida transport authority search usually means the RTO for Gautam Buddh Nagar district in UP; the Noida Authority itself is an industrial development body, not a transport office.

Should you call an RTO agent contact number?

An RTO agent contact number found online leads to a private intermediary, not the department. Agents may help with paperwork, but almost every Chhattisgarh service can be done online yourself. Never share OTPs, original RCs or bank details with an agent you have not verified.

Official help instead

Use the helpdesk details on parivahan.gov.in or the state transport department site, or ask at the RTO enquiry counter. Phone numbers on aggregator sites are often outdated.

RTO office, regional transport office: same thing?

Yes. RTO office regional transport office searches ask about the same thing: RTO stands for Regional Transport Office, so “RTO office” just repeats the word. In Chhattisgarh, some smaller districts have an additional regional transport office (ARTO) instead.

Some certificates, such as income or residence proof, come from the state’s e-district portal, not the RTO. Our guide to e-district CG registration explains that separate system. For vehicle records across India, start with the Vahan Parivahan guide.
